GM #41 LOS ANGELES LAKERS(32-8) AT LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS(9-31

Post#1 » by kobeaki » Wed Jan 21, 2009 12:42 am

AH YES, THE OLD CHESTNUT THE BATTLE OF LOS ANGELES...Image and rage against sasha they will...
Image "visiting"Image

going down at the downtown hoop dojo that is affectionately known as the stapler....our home away from home :eyebrows: Image

This is still an important game for our heroes in purple and gold, for the rest of the league will not care much about this game, for our chase of the home court and to also prove to ourselves that we can bring intensity regardless of the opponent, this is a must win, not only a win, but a resounding one, against our hapless stablemates; who sadly, as always have little to lose and the world to gain if they upset the mighty Lakers.

this will by no means be a cakewalk, and our boys best be aware of the danger...

The Likely Starters...and matchups

for the "road team"...;

in the backcourt...
#2 out of Little Rock, Arkansas...6'1" in his 13th season, playing the #1 guard...Derek Fisher...
Image

#24 out of Lower Marion H.S. 6'5" in his 13th season, playing the #2 guard...Kobe Bean Bryant...
Image

and to the frontcourt...
#10 out of Serbia-Montenegro 6'10" in his 8th season , playing the small forward/3 position...Vladimir Radmanovic...
Image

#16 out Barcelona, Spain 7'0" in his 8th season, playing the power forward/4 position...Pau Gasol
Image

#17 out of St. Joseph H.S. (N.J.) in his 4th year of action, at the center/5 position...Andrew Bynum
Image

VS.

the "home" team...
#10 out of indiana 6'3" , a rookie...Eric Gordon...guard...
Image

#25 out of temple university...6'6" in his 3rd season....Mardy Collins...guard..
Image

in the frontcourt...
#12 out of Florida State 6'8" in his 2nd season...Al Thornton...forward...
Image

#20 out of Marqeutte 6'10" in his 3rd season...Steve Novak...power forward...
Image

key reserves for each squad...

lakers;
#3trevor arizaImage
#7lamar odom
#18sasha vujacicImage
#21josh powellImage

and the home team...
#2fred jonesImage
#31ricky davisImage
#9deandre jordanImage

the lakers head coach is Phil Jackson, versus arguably his elsest coaching rival,
Image
whether it was phil in the first threepeat of the chicago bulls vs. Mike Dunleavy Sr., when he was the admiral of the Lakers...Image
or perhaps even as the head coach in charge og the portland trailblazers...

keys to a lakers victory...play our game, dont be tricked by the crowd or the clips record. thats it.

LMAO at the picture of the Dunleavys. That is hilarious.

We are coming off a big win, we better not ruin it by giving this game away. This is really just another home game so we really have no excuse.

GO LAKERS!!!

When the reporter asked Kobe if he would play tonight, he responded with "What do you think?" Lmao. Kobe is definitely a warrior.

I personally think he should rest until Sunday. Whatever, Kobe's finger. As long as he plays in Toronto when I experience my first ever NBA game, it's all good.

Go Lakers.
This is a dangerous game for the Lakers after a big win. There could be a big let down.

gasp! i didn't know the dunleavys were like that LOL jk.

Should be a silent win... unless the clips goes hot all of a sudden for the first time out of the whole season.. that would suck.

Go Lakers!!

We have no excuse to lose this game. Hopefully we have it packed up early so Kobe can rest up.

Well.. I read in on of Adande's columns that B DIddy has given up on the Clippers already.

Anyways I'd want to see a unit with Bynum/Pau/Sasha/Fish/LO get some burn while resting Kobe a lot. Odom needs to pick up the slack.
