because his skillset is perfect for the second unit, the first unit needs a fluid, rhythmic offense/floor spreading
doesnt matter who starts tho, its who finishes games

He's worse as a starter. Phil started him for a game and tried to get him to start more but he didn't want to. He feels comfortable coming off the bench.
It's going to be tough to get him out of LA. The Lakers will surely offer him a MLE contract (5 years/32 mill) and he's an LA kid, playing in his home town. Going north of the border, I doubt it. It would take big money, for sure and you guys have more needs than overpaying a 6th man.

no way trevor gets the MLE, a sasha contract is the most he'll get (15mil/3yr) and im leaning more towards a ronny turiaf size contract
even posey only got the MLE for 4 years

Hopefully this isn't another Laker bench player flash in the pan contract season.

Ariza will get the MLE either here or elsewhere. Unlike Sasha who played well on his contract year and did not get any good offers from other teams Ariza's impact to the game is much more noticeable. He has also played well with the Magic as a hustle player before so different teams would be very interested to have him on their roster. I don't see how the Lakers can get away with offering any less than the MLE.

Trevor has been a good hustle player all his life i think. I was checking out his old vids and he played the same way he has now. Just hope lakers don't have problems signing him up again at the end of season.
And he was asked if he wanted to start but he refused and said he knows he's better fit with the 2nd unit. That's a humble player right there.
There was one play.. i forgot which game where he scored 0 pts but on the way to an easy basketball, it handed it off for an assist instead.
