Larry Brown carves up the Lakers' again

What can you say, since the Bobcats have dropped J Richardson for two team players in Diaw and Bell the Bobcats are really playing good ball. Add the toughness of Diop and leadership of Juwan Howard the Bobcats are a team that is on the rise. They are very tough on the glass, Okofur, and in your face on D with Bell being the leader on the perimeter.

The Lakers had a tough time with the physical play of the Cats' last night but one thing that was very reminiscent of the Piston coached team that beat the Lakers' in the finals just a few short years ago was the style on offense. Although less talented, than the Piston team, this team used the same screen rubs to get wide open shots and simple pick and rolls to get to the rim.

All I could think of last night was how the Lakers' lost in the finals versus the Pistons and how they got jumpered to death. Every thing was open from the screens and they just continued to hit jumper after jumper--seemingly wide open. I got that feel last night as well, Shannon Brown, Raja Bell, Felton, Wallace and even the off balance 24 second expiring shot by Morrison.

I would also have to give a lot of credit to Felton who impressed me with his tear drop runners that kept going in over Bynum. He also had 11 reb not bad for a point guard.

Overall the Lakers' are the better team but it just goes to show you how a coach like Larry Brown can use his simple system with players that are all about the team and get these kind of results. I expect this team to get to .500 very soon under his leadership.

Larry Brown didn't carve up the Lakers.........the Lakers beat themselves with constant mental mistakes. I so tired of people giving Brown all this credit for his so called philosophy on ball. The man is a mental train wreck that never stays in one place long enough to establish anything. If he was so good then why did Team USA fail in 2004 ? The man didn't give LeBron or Carmelo and Wade a chance to play to even see if they could help the team. This man is tired and I'm just waiting for him to flame out again.

With the players that he and the GM has brought in I think the Bobcats will make the playoffs. Larry got them rebounding, battling on defense and on occasions when they make the shots that are wide open they will win and be effective.

Larry has given the team a new identity from the start of the year and on both ends of the floor they are producing. They play a hard nosed defense and they play a simple game on offense, similar too the Jazz. Say what you want about him but he knows X's and O's and when players listen to his team concept they win.

I think in New York he didn't have the players he wanted and when Isiah didn't give him that he then did what he did out of frustration.

I grantee they don't make the playoffs................book it they won't make.
