Good news since every espn analyst predicted a 1 game suspension. Its crazy to think that a couple years back Kobe got suspended for his "unnatural basketball movement" on jaric and manu.

Good find imworthy...............good news for the fam but now we must expect an onslaught of haters now. Glad the league saw it was no serious intent to hurt Wallace. Hope he gets well soon and help the Bobcats contend for a playoff spot.

Ahhh Stu Jackson's dice must be broken or it's just the law of averages.... or they realized they'd have to suspend Bell for the hit on Pau in the face.

yeah, we always get the haters. What I'd like to see when they come though is the classiest board in basketball. It's easy to get pissed and flame them back. Much tougher to keep it logical with powerful arguments that are not intended to demean or anger.

Definitely surprised. Jackson probably took into account Bynum's lack of history with this sort of stuff and the fact that it obviously wasn't done with any malice. Not sure it sends the best of messages, but oh well -- let's just hope Drew doesn't put himself in these positions too often. The way he's playing of late, it would have been a pity to see him sitting out.

It was upgraded to a Flagrant 2, however.

I think the main focus should be on Wallaces recovery and his health.
This isnt a joke, Wallace is hurt pretty badly.

how's ariza doing with his concussion.. that was a bad hit as well.

Anyways, tonys' right, hope wallace gets better soon. I wonder if the injury was because andrew ram him with this elbow or the fall. Either way, that's gotta hurt.

Yeah, you definitely hope and pray for Gerald Wallace's good health.

They made the right call. He deserved to get fined for putting himself in that position, but he had no dirty intent to purposely injure Wallace.

It's far more likely to be the fall. If he was holding his breath when he fell it likely burst a hole in the lung which allowed air to seep out into the chest cavity causing a collapse (former emt) Often time the treatment is very painful, so I wouldn't be surprised if he later claims it's the most painful of his career full of injuries.

Collapsed lung is painful and dangerous until treated, but he should be back in let time than a fractured leg or arm. This should be a max of 2 weeks recovery, though often recovery time is only 48-72 hrs. He's gonna be fine, but it's painful and scary.

Andrew stood and waited by the Bobcats' bus to check on G Wallace. He apologized to Larry Brown. Good going, Bynum. That type of sportsmanship goes a long, long way.

Thats exactly my point.
Peps specially peps that dislike this team and our fan base are sitting all over this board and baiting and pour salt on the wound.
I mean it was a DUMB play and it was unitentional, did DBag Bell apologise for his choke hold on Kobe and he was suspended one game.
Anyone with the right mind knew that it was intentional, but these BASHERS keep on sitting around and making it into something its not.

I have been all over this thread on the Bobcats board being reasonable and props on their board and their posters/mods, a very classy board and handled very nicely by the mods I MIGHT ADD tryin to see their point of view.
They have a good reason to be mad, but as far the intention, give me a break.

Again it happened and it was unintentional and it happened but peps are calling for Bynums head on this, but like I said the main issue is Wallace and his health and as far as The Bobcats, I feel your pain and sorrow but dont be blinded by your anger or hatered, look at with an open mind.

If you feel like it was intentional then so be it, if not then turn the page and lets move on.

What is even funnier which Im not laughing at this incident or Wallaces injury is how low some posters/bashers would go trying to pump up or shift the attention of this board and take the focus off their beloved team (AND YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE) and trun it around on our team..

Reminds me of some *****s I use to date.

after watching the replay over and over. I am of the belief that the unfortunate incident of his lung and rib was caused by the impact on the floor when he landed and his elbow was between him and the floor. That does not diminish the hard foul that Bynum laid on him. I just think its far more likely that the imapct of the floor is what caused his lung to drop( 30%)

I'm pretty surprised about there being no suspension, too.

Anyway, I hope Wallace gets better soon.

He got off easy it seems, I wonder if thats because he's on a title contender.

I think he may have missed a couple games if he was on the Clippers.

its the right call. the ejection + flagrant 2 change seems about right. the play wasnt overtly dirty, just a bit stupid (why lead with your elbow?).

btw, does it carry a higher fine than a flagrant 1? if so, even better (fines going to charity and all).
