I didn't really understand this trade. Adam Morrison is nothing. He's one of the worst players in the league and always will be. With Radmanovic he gave you some shooting at times to help bring the bigs out of the paint and give Kobe, Gasol, or Odom more room to work. He was nothing special but he's better than nothing which is exactly what you're getting with Morrison.

At any rate basketball is all about the system you play in. A system has to fit your strengths and Larry Brown's flex offense which stresses ball movement didn't fit Morrison. The Triangle could work to Morrison's strengths. Some time a second chance is all you need.

Defensively Morrison will hurt us some but he's not as slow as Luke, so it's a push at best.

Don't be so sure , at least he is tough and aggressive . He could be a really good addition. What wouyld people have said about Ariza , two three years ago ?

Morrison missed all of last season due to injury in his rookie season he had nice numbers he probably won't have that with the Lakers but if he fits in he could be the eventual replacement for Luke. He's similar to luke but he shoots alot better than Luke ever did. If he doesn't he only has one year left on his contract so in the end the Lakers win financially.

Bobcats Fan here. Just wanted to let you know that Ammo is a good kid, but has lost all his confidence. Many of us Bobcat fans realize the money works better for you, but Vlad can at least hit the 3's. Ammo use to, but like I said, he lost all his confidence. Honestly, all Bobcat fans hope he does regain some of his swagger and confidence. One thing I hope that does not happen is that when he makes mistakes, I hope Kobe doesn't verbally crush him. Kobe is excellent, and I dont think he can take too much of someone who gets on the court and loses all his confidence. If he jumps down Ammo's throat, it will only push this kid into his shell even more. It really is sad. But as a Bobcat fan, I do hope the best for him. I've been saying for a year now that when his Contract expires, I expect him to go to Europe and play. That way, he has less pressure and a the competition should be just a tad lighter than what he faces in the NBA.

Huh? Vlade has had the luxury of playing with a guy named Kobe Bryant. People that play for and under Phil Jackson usually get better. If this guys truely can shoot then he will be fine.

Does anyone think that Morrison might improve if he was switched to SG?

He is a bit weak as a SF in the NBA. Moving him to SG would remove some of his weaknesses - rebounding and defense. And allow him to focus on what he does best which is outside shooting.

Just a thought. Do you think it could work?

Please stop comparing AMMO to Ariza. Trevor always played defense, was playing good with Oralando, and will always better better than AMMO. Vlade>>AMMO. don;t get you hopes up too high.

Adam Morrison, what can we expect?

Absolutely NO expectations.

Vujacic, Fisher, and Farmar are all the shooters we really need.

We need defense.

Morrison will get spot duty and will be in the rotation ONLY if there is foul trouble or injury to Kobe, Vujacic, Ariza, or Walton.

A guy that has to make a living jumpers at a better clip than his career .374 or his is gonna be out of the NBA in the near future. Don't get me wrong but this could be his last stop.

I don't think the Lakers' expect much, he is still behind Luke and Ariza and he saves the Lakers' an extra year on a contract that will be used elsewhere. He could be bought out in the summer or be traded for an expiring sooner rather than later.

I don't know why you guys think this guy is actually going to get playing. The only playing time he will get is garbage minutes. That's it.

As for the trade,I still like it because it frees up 5-6 million that we can use on better things.
