1. Sun Yue vs Smush Parker? Smush for the time being
2. Brian Cook vs Slava Medvedenko? Slava the greatest cult figure since Rambis
3. DJ Mbenga vs Mark Madsen? Mad Dog
4. Kwame Brown vs Samaki Walker? Kwame ofcourse
5. Mychal Thompson vs Lamar Odom? LO
6. Kobe vs Jerry West - Thats a tough one. I've seen most of Kobe's career so it'd be interesting to see Jerry West perform
7. Nick Van Ex vs D-Fish - NVE ofcourse. One of the few good PGs we had since Magic.

Who's better or who would I rather have? And are you talking at the peak of their careers or when they were with the Lakers?

Whatever, work is terribly boring today:

1. Smush is better, rather have Sun Yue...or a box of mike n ikes for that matter.
2. Ugh, why? Slava...for comedic purposes only.
3. Mad dog.
4. Ugh, again why? Kwame. Kobe never tried to fight Kwame and Samaki never was never hilarious enough to throw a cake...win win.
5. At the peaks of their career? Mychal Thompson no question. Great defender, smart player, plus 18pts and 10rebs.
6. Kobe. I love Jerry West but I love Kobe more. The way they dominated their eras was very similar tho. Plus, if Kobe never had Shaq they could've had very similar careers.
7. I was a big Nick fan as a kid, even tho his Laker career didn't end on the best note. So I'll say Nick cuz he was the better player...Fisher obviously being the better human.

1. Sun Yue vs Smush Parker? Sun Yue (Smush is a piece of ****, mother **** ****, ****!)
2. Brian Cook vs Slava Medvedenko? Brian Cook (Slava just plain sucked)
3. DJ Mbenga vs Mark Madsen? DJ Mbenga (got tired of Madsen being a spaz, I know he tries his little heart out)
4. Kwame Brown vs Samaki Walker? Kwame Brown (IDK I kinda of liked Kwame)
5. Mychal Thompson vs Lamar Odom? Lamar (Toughest question of them all, LO just has too much vesatility)
6. Kobe vs Jerry West (Kobe, 2nd best ever to play the game at this time, with no disrespect to Jerry West)
7. Nick Van Ex vs D-Fish D-Fish (Nick was great but his attitude was a little **** at times.

Tough questions, I thought it was goind to be a Kobe/MJ or Kobe. LBJ thread, but it wasn't good thread!

1. Sun Yue vs Smush Parker?- Sun... at least he doesn't screw with chemistry and coaching
2. Brian Cook vs Slava Medvedenko?- Slava... he had more midrange game and snickers
3. DJ Mbenga vs Mark Madsen?- Mark... he ahhh well Mark!
4. Kwame Brown vs Samaki Walker?- Kwame... sad but true... more D
5. Mychal Thompson vs Lamar Odom?- LO... I hated MT
6. Kobe vs Jerry West- tough tough call. I'm going with the Logo based on clutchness but it's a new NBA
7. Nick Van Ex vs D-Fish- Fish Nick didn't win rings for a reason.

4. Kwame Brown vs Samaki Walker?

one intriguing matchup is kwame and samaki. most pick kwame. but i'll take samaki. yeah its razor thin because both drop sweet passes given to them under the basket. both miss HUGE wideopen dunks. both miss wide open jumpers. both get yelled at by jax on the sideline. but samaki has the cheering section down from the bench. he gets the towel wavin action goin and the yellin at a higher decibel level than kwame. so based on that, samaki it is! :o

1. Sun Yue vs Smush Parker? Sun. At least he wants to be here.
2. Brian Cook vs Slava Medvedenko? Slava. 2-0 in rings.
3. DJ Mbenga vs Mark Madsen? Mad Dog! No disrespect to DJ but Mark is the best dancer the Lakers ever had.
4. Kwame Brown vs Samaki Walker? Kwame. No contest.
5. Mychal Thompson vs Lamar Odom? MT. He's not getting any love in this thread.
6. Kobe vs Jerry West Kobe. Are you nuts? Jerry West is like, 70 years old! He's lost a step.
7. Nick Van Ex vs D-Fish Fish. See #1 above.

if you can think of any others feel free to post them!

I got another one for yas, and since I'm posting it, I don't have to answer it :naaa:

2. Brian Cook vs Slava Medvedenko? slava, easy too. there's something to say about someone who knows his role
3. DJ Mbenga vs Mark Madsen? mark, 10 points for being fluent in spanish
4. Kwame Brown vs Samaki Walker? kwame. i don't even remember samaki anymore.
5. Mychal Thompson vs Lamar Odom? LO, he's a warrior.
6. Kobe vs Jerry West? kobe, way too young to watch jerry.
7. Nick Van Ex vs D-Fish? nick, i modeled my game after nick.

1. Sun Yue - Smush was just a drain on team chemistry.
2. Slava - Slava just for the scowl...
3. Madsen
4. Kwame - it's just too bad he has small hands made out of stone....
5. Lamar
6. Kobe, probably only cuz I've only seen highlights of west vs. entire games of kobe.... but west had to have game i mean he's the logo...
7. Nick the quick...

I want to toss in another comparison...

who was better

eddie jones vs. michael cooper

I feel kind of cheated that Sean Rooks isn't an option for any of these questions.

if you can think of any others feel free to post them!

1. Sun Yue. You can use him as the victory sub. Smush sucks.
2. Cook. He can hit 3's. I don't like either of them though, and Cook wasn't that good at 3's. lol
3. Ahhh...this one is tough...I like them both. I say Madsen. Shaq got him a watch (I think) for what he did. All hustle.
4. Kwame. Just for the laughs....
5. If Kevin Mchale is in the league, maybe Thompson would be better. If not, I'm taking Lamar.
6. I'll take Kobe, and then hope I don't face West's team. It could go either way.
7. Fisher. Van Exel was more talented, but I'll take prime Fisher over him all day for my team.

For the Shaq vs. Kareem one, I'll take Shaq.
For the Cooper vs. Eddie one, I'll take Jones. Cooper is probably the better player to take, but Eddie Jones was one of my favorite players, so I'll take him.

How about this.....Rick Fox vs. Trevor Ariza?

Fun post.

1. Sun Yue - Smush is the better player (so far at least), but his attitude ruins it.
2. Slava Medvedenko - Cook has no confidence... Slava was fun to watch.
3. Mark Madsen - For sure!
4. Kwame Brown - At least Kwame brought out some emotion in me (frustration, anger, sometimes a laugh), Samaki just sucked.
5. Lamar Odom
6. Kobe
7. D-Fish
Gotta be a little bias in favor of the current team ;)

As for Fox vs. Ariza... Ariza has a ton of potential and I see him being a bigger asset than Fox in the future, but I was a huge fan of Fox's attitude (looks over at Rick Fox bobblehead...)

^^ My favourite comparison question so far. Both had great players to begin with and brought out the best in their respective squads. I'll take Phil for having the ability to massage the egos of Kobe and Shaq. 15-1 against Sacto, SA, Portland and Philly in 2001. Oh so memorable.

Rudy Tomjanovich or Magic Johnson? lol
