You know the problem with these types of articles/blogs is that they're all too reactionary. Meaning you only see them after a big win by said player or a stretch of good play. It's the same with a lot of the tv analyst talk. They adapt to what has transpired and then fit their analysis based on it, instead of the other way around.

Where are the articles when Kobe played bad? Where were the articles when Kobe choked in crunch time. My point is one or two games, or a couple of clutch shots are not enough reason to cement someone the best in the world. For example, in the Celtics game, one could argue that if Kobe wasn't sucking for three quarters, they would not have been in the situation in which he needed three miracle threes in the fourth to put the Lakers back in the fight.

People have good days and bad days. Kobe had relatively good days in both games, while Lebron clearly didn't. I mean sometimes your shots fall, sometimes they don't. Sometimes you get one in, purely on luck. I mean Kobe sucked last year against both teams, simply because he had off nights playing against them.

In the end, Kobe is the best player in the world. But not because of the games vs the Cavs or the Celts. Two games don't prove anything.

its all about who has more good days. I mean nate Robinson has 32 last night...but that doesnt make him a 30 point a night guy. He scores in the low teens so thats what he is a low teens guy who can score 30 on a given night. Kobe's body of work over his whole career is what he should be judge by. He is a 3 time champion and the most feared offensive player in the game. Even if he missed 30 shots in a row the opposing coach doesnt want him taking the 31st.

Unless those are games four and five of the finals.

But thank you for the most patronizing post I've read in some time.

Kobe was not at his best last year in the finals.. mostly because the team that we have this year is not the same as last year in the finals.. Ariza, Walton were both returning from injury and not at their best.. Kobe was recovering from a broken pinky.. Gasol only had a 3rd of the season with the Lakers.

We can already see that the lakers have worked out the defensive and offensive options against the Eastern teams and bar 2 losses to Olando (which were last shot losses) and the home loss to Detroit we have done well against the east..

I think this is a title run for Kobe to redeem his name after last years failure..

I can't touch this debate at this time w/out writing a novel.

But I'll say this...I would pay a ridiculous amount of money to watch Kobe and Lebron play one-on-one live.

I can honestly say I have no idea who would win.

maybe play HORSE @ next years all-star? if Lebron will do the dunk contest, I can see Kobe wanting to one-up....

kobe has been the best, but the media thinks his time has come and gone, and now it's on to the new flavor of the month. lebron is great, can't take anything away from him,but someof things i have seen kobe do is unreal.

No clue what you're responding to exactly. If to me then you'll notice the  meant it was a joke. Meaning two games do matter. I hope that was no blow to your ego about Kobe, and if you'll notice my name, sig, and avi all have something in common.

I don't understand what Kobe's body work over his career has to do with the this topic, I understand Kobe has 3 rings, but he hasn't won in 7 years, he hasn't won since James entered the NBA so I think that's irrelevant.

There are things Kobe does better than LeBron and vice versa, I don't know exactly who's better but going off a 6 game road trip is not how you determine it. Not a very good article.

no it's not irrelevant, because he has what lebron wants. not only is his all around game better, but he has already been to the mountain lebron is trying to get to. there is no way that three rings can ever be irrelevant, especially since this is really the only year he has had a championship caliber team since shaq left.

Its irrelevant for 2 reasons:

1. He wasnt the leader of any of those teams, Shaq was.
2. It was 7 years ago, we are talking about right now.

Also LeBron has never had a championship caliber team also, look at his team.
