Re: Shaq to Lakers a Possibility
You know we all read crazy trade ideas posted by homer fans that are totally unrealistic in favor of the team the poster is a fan of. That's probably 50% of all message boards.
They are the most annoying childesh fans which is probably one of the reasons people are so vigalent about keeping in the trade thread BUT this actually isn't crazy.
The Lakers do have some expiring contracts and do have some young talent. The only problem I see is the contract it would probably take would have to be Odom's and unless your not resigning Odom at the end of the year it won't work. What if the Lakers decide to panic with the rest of the world though and don't want to sign Odom? Would they take Shaq for 2 years instead?
Or what if the Suns want a pg more then we think and look at Farmar and Ariza as young players along with a pick that would satisfy them. Nobody else seems to want Shaq and Kerr is an idiot as a gm. (I know Ariza has become a god in laker land but come on just for a minute pretend he is Ariza)
It is not probable and that freestyle rap of Shaq's may have slammed the door until Kobe wins a title without him but with Bynum down and the frontcourt of the Lakers at a combined weight of 180 pounds plus Luke Walton and the threat of Cavs making a serious upgrade if I logged on tommorrow and Shaq was traded to the Lakers I wouldn't be shocked.

Re: Shaq to Lakers a Possibility
I think there is a thread about this somewhere already... but anyways i doubt it'll come to fruition..
reason is even if they've come to terms there's still some tension between them. Look at the ASG, they were kewl together but that's all it'll be especially for kobe, he's like watever.
Plus kobe hasn't won a ring without good ole shaq yet.. you think he'll want him back until he does.. probably not hehe.. and then who are we going to have to let go or can't sign if shaq comes.. Not until shaq joins us at a very cheap rate or retiring... we won't see him in a laker jersey..

Once again this is all about Shaq. Not the duo, or a reunion. It is all about Shaq making good of his career as it ends.
Pass and let PJ and Kobe be left alone.
