Lakers are only playing 81 games this year?

The correct answer is not available.

The Lakers will win as many games as it takes to secure home court advantage throughout the playoffs.

I think we can get to 67-69 if no one else gets hurt... But I am worried about Gasol playing so many minutes... and I am somewhat of a home ;-)

I was thinking 60+ wins at least because we would be healthy with this roster at the start of the season. All I want is HCA right now lol

lol this thread reminds me during the beginning of the season when we started off 7-0 and everybody started making 73 or 72 wins threads. 68-14 doesn't seem very realistic at this point, I highly doubt we go 22-4 the rest of the way. I think we should be focusing on HCA and ultimately the championship, anything less than the NBA Championship is considered a failure season in my opinion. I am not interested in being the second coming of the Dallas Mavericks (67-15 and ousted in the 1st round) either.

I don't understand why this thread would remind you of "the beginning of the season", when we're already through 60% of the season with only 26 games left. Big difference.

last year after we got Pau, we closed the season 22-5 with him

Considering we now have an improved Trevor Ariza, Josh Powell, otherworldly Lamar Odom and Jordan Farmar out-sexing the competition, I don't see why we can't kick that old record to the curb.

and what if getting HCA requires a 22-4 finish, think we can still do it?

We may have to do even better than that to secure home court throughout. The Cavs are now at full strength, and the Celtics haven't missed a beat since KG went down with injury. This team needs to remain focused and take every game serious from here on out if we want to come out on top.

The bottom line is that our schedule the rest of the way is not that difficult. We play a few playoff bound teams, but we will be facing them a bit short-handed (SAS, PHO, DEN, HOU) so we need to take full advantage of that fact.

Lakers got a lot of road games the rest of the way, its gonna be tough to go 22-4. Very tough. Its possible, but I think they come up just short of that. Maybe with 5 losses the rest of the way.

Finishing at 67-15
