I really recommend everyone reading this short article. It really says a whole lot. I have to say that I'm a sucker for stories like these.

LOS ANGELES - Kobe Bryant just calls him "Congo."

Pau Gasol thinks he's funny but isn't sure what else to think of him.

Josh Powell, who has been teammates with him here and in Dallas, is asked if he knows — really knows — DJ Mbenga.

"I would say," Powell answers, "somewhat."

Go DJ!

crazy story... now i know for sure mihm had no chance against DJ if they were to go to floor that day hehe.

Im glad he made it out there and is now in the NBA. He's been doing great thus far. I didn't know he didn't started playing until he was 17.. dang.. Well if he keeps up his intensity and play hard like yesterday.. He'll be going to high places. Best part, Lakers could give him a lot of exposure... just need them minutes to show it...

Way to get through the tough circumstances DJ. I knew about the Black Belt that's why I was wondering why Mihm tried to get um up with him  Keep playing well DJ so we can keep seeing you get more PT. Great story!
