Game #63 3/09 Lakers (50-12) @ Blazers (39-23) KCAL 7PM

On Monday night the Lakers will look to continue in their establishment of that dominance in RipCity! The enemy owns a dominant 26-5 record at home and is currently 7-3 in their last 10 wins led by none other than 2006 ROY Brand Roy. However, we have the greatest team in the NBA, the record states that as does the depth of our roster, and so we cannot allow RipCity to come out victorious! Let's go Lakers, gotta be the first to 60!!!!!!!

Is Oden even playing? I thought he was still injured?

Regardless, this is going to be a tough game. We haven't had much luck beating the Blazers in their building (1-6 in the last 7 meetings, with the sole victory coming in 2004), so hopefully we come out with complete focus and determination and get us a victory.

These next 3 road games are very important so hopefully we kick it off the right way.

yea bro i agree. and yea Oden is playing i think cuz he started for Portland for their last game against OKC. This will be a very tough game that honestly the Lakers can't afford to lose this, we gotta establish that dominance and part of that means beating teams that we haven't had much luck against in the past.

Oden hasn't played in a while miggs, and the last reports on him has him out another week just to make sure he gets fully healthy. Portland's last game was against Minnesota on Saturday, and Oden was still out. Bottom line is he won't be playing is this game, they'll probably have Przybilla start at the 5 spot.

Anyway we need to end this jinks in Portland and get a win, 4 years is too long. Plus we get to inflict some damage to their playoff seeding with a win. I found it funny their fans on their board root for the Lakers when we play teams that are in front or in back of them. Yet they really hate the Lakers but want favors from them................incredible !

oh wow my bad Deep3, i just checked NBA.com and i guess my flash player didn't work so the schedule didn't come out well. their last game was Minny, true my bad. Ima change the line-up to Przybilla, i found it weird that Oden was already back, but i trusted the Blazers.com site.

As for POR fans cheering for us when we play their playoff rivals, that's pretty lame of all of them considering the hate they have for LA. nice scoop Deep3, nice to know POR fans love us even tho they hate us, sounds like a bad ex-GF

At this point, I'm no longer worried about Greg Oden. He's going to amount to nothing special this season, yet we still have a handful of problems to deal with. Still, we've beaten them before, and we'll do it again. Let's turn this game into a repeat of our Season Opener, completely ignoring Laker History @ The Rose Garden.

All I have to say is bring on the storm! It should be an awesome game with a great home crowd, though your team is certainly talented enough to end the losing streak at the Rose Garden.

Best of luck ladies and gents.

Yeah, I can all but confirm that Oden IS NOT playing. He's been out for about 10 games now (give or take a few) and it's highly unlikely that he returns tomorrow.

Steve Blake is the starting PG for the Blazers.

The picture you're showing (currently) is of Sergio Rodriguez, who is one of the backup PGs, along with Jerryd Bayless.

It's been a long time. We haven't faced each other since the season opener. Portland has been barely beating some bad teams at home, but we destroyed the Spurs last week. I'm sure they'll be extremely revved up to play the Lakers.

And don't worry, we still hate you. We just know what's best for our team.

Yeah, Oden isn't playing, Steve Blake is the starting PG and what team doesn't root for another team when playing a team that can affect their standings. If you were in 2nd place by a half game and the Blazers were playing the 1st place team, you wouldn't want the Blazers to win? Gimme a break.

Here's hoping for a good game Monday night.

I am going to have to agree with DaVoiceMaster on this one. I hate the Blazers as much as the Blazer fan hates the Lakers. However, if they were to win and that would benefit the Lakers Standings...well..

It's just a means to an end. We can't cloud the hate rivalary with what's best for the Lakers and vice versa.
