Rasheed Wallace anyone?

I was thinking that after this season he would be after his second title. Maybe he would sign cheap with a contender( i.e. the Lakers, Spurs, Cavs, Magic, Hornets, Heat, or Celtics) I know some of the teams I listed aren't contenders now but with Wallace on they would be. I think he could be had for the MLE at the most so do we go after him in the off season or not?

Lakers won't sign him no matter what. Sheed isn't at a level where he feels he has to sacrifice his game.

MLE for Jason Kidd. He's the only vet I think can help us get better than we are and he'd relish the chance to play alongside Kobe.
I'd be very glad to trade one of our crippling contracts to be able to resign both Ariza and LO before we can think of any FA though.

Hopefully Jordan and Luke play good the rest of the year so other teams will be interested so we can get rid of them and get a more mature PG and free up some space to sign Lamar and Ariza. I really can't see anyone taking Luke though I mean seriously he is so not worth his contract. I hope I'm wrong.

Let's split our MLE to Jason Kidd and Rasheed Wallace. *drools*

Rasheed doesnt rebound and shoots low percentage 3s all day. No thanks
Jason Kidd is no longer a very good defender, and he cant shoot. His assists would be down in the triangle. He would put up 9, 5 and 7 on 40% with average defense. No thanks

Kidd is better than anything we currently have both as a defender and as a play maker at the PG spot. He's not a horrible shooter when he gets his feet set behind that 3p-line either, so he'd be an excellent pickup for us. Never mind the veteran leadership he would bring and all the intangibles.
Rasheed would bring terrific post defense as well. We don't need his scoring, but we do need his defense.

^^ not sure if you have been watching rasheed of late, but im pretty sure the way hes jacking up treys, hes not exactly into banging in the post night in, night out
probably another reason why sheed is being linked to the spurs

Fisher isnt going anywhere so I assume we'd get rid of Farmar? No point in splitting minutes between the 3 of them with out high salary... only Fisher and Kidd are both up there in age, while Farmar is not as good as them at least he's at least an option... It'll be pretty tough to get a solid future PG picking 29th every year.. plus we'd need two years to develop him...

Are we getting rid of Lamar? because again, with this team's high salary, we'd be splitting minutes between Gasol/Bynum/Odom/Wallace/Powell/Mbenga
The way Buss has been shipping out salaries, I doubt he will pick guys like this up seeing as how there is such few minutes to go around... they are solid defensively but will they be liabilities on offense? Will it be worth it?

Maybe Jason Kidd would be accepting of the vet minimum and a minimal role, but I dont see Sheed as being as accepting

We should try to get Mcgrady instead. I've seen a vid in youtube that McGrady wants to play with Kobe Bryant.
PG. Kobe
SG. Tracy McGrady
SF. Lamar Odom
PF. Pau Gasol
C. Andrew Bynum
:O. I just popped a boner

Kidd would be a great option. Anthony Carter would also be a good pickup. Or with our late first rounder, we should draft a PG. I don't feel comfortable with Jordan Farmar at all.
But this is all another story for another day. We have a Championship to win before we get to all this. Free agents shouldn't even be a thought for the next couple months.

Hate to kill the mood, but TMac doesn't exactly work well with other stars...and you want to put him on a team with the BIGGEST star and AB clearly trying to establish his dominance and rep?

tHINK SFs and PGs
Good teams find pieces that fit together... the Lakers are not the Warriors and they don't spend money getting 3 players that play at the same level and the same positions

Have you seen TMac play this year?
