Question: How good is our bench?
We were widely known as having the best bench in the league along with Utah. Do you all feel the same now that Ariza is starting, Vujacic can't hit a jumper, and Farmar is a tad bit hard headed?

Even with Ariza, we still would have major issues with our bench. Bynum better come back fast, this bench is falling apart.

Re: Question: How good is our bench?
Our bench began disintegrating last year. Now it's only a shadow of its former self. Especially when we trade Vlad for zero impact on court players.
Can you imagine what we would be like if Powell and DJ couldn't provide decent minutes? We'd have one of the most ineffective benches in the league.

And that's what I can't stand about him, I study this cat every game. His mannerism's and court behavior drives me crazy. He always has that look of " it ain't my fault", never excepts his mistakes and chides others when he was the one who F'd up.ALL HAIL wrote:Farmar is a tad bit hard headed?

Agree 100% and he seems to have a problem with Kobe. It seems like he intentionally goes away, or doesnt pass to kobe on purpose. Its so annoying.

its not as good as we think it is, although mbenga is holding it together. lol.... But with bynum back it is very good. I cant see him starting when he comes back. which would mean out bench is farmar, sasha, bynum, walton/ariza. and would like to see brown get some minutes (not seeing too much of him from over here, the bits i have seen look serviceable

Re: Question: How good is our bench?
Powell, Mbenga, and Bynum when he comes back are the only reliable bench players now. Phil will shorten the bench and play the starters more in the playoffs. It'll be a good thing since we'll see less of Farmar, Vujacic, and Walton.

Re: Question: How good is our bench?
Our bench is up & down and it's going 2 continue 2 be up & down because they are young. But i think our bench is better than over half the teams in the N.B.A.

I blame Sasha and Farmar for playing like crap. We used to be able to rely on them pretty consistently for provide a spark off the bench.

Re: Question: How good is our bench?
I don't mind Sasha as much as Farmar.
Jordan is annoying as hell. He yells at teammates if they make a mistake...and then he makes a number of mistakes himself and still yells at other people.
I can't stand that.
Sasha will shoot his way out of this slump...he benefits from playing with Lamar and Kobe. He will be fine. He is annoying with all his post foul antics but he can still deliver.
Jordan does more harm than good.

Re: Question: How good is our bench?
You guys sure give up on Farmar easily. Weren't most of you citing Farmar's attitude as one of the reason why he could be our future PG? Right now I don't like how Farmar plays as much as you do, but I think that behind the cockiness he also has a strong will to improve his game. He's made great strides on the first two seasons, and now that his plays have dropped off for half a season you guys immediately want to see him replaced by Brown who has struggled to stay on his team because he has bad B-ball IQ?
Give Farmar a chance. I am as uncertain about his future with the Lakers as you guys, but saying things like we have to trade him or we should let him go next year is premature right now.

Re: Question: How good is our bench?
i think you're wrong...we should get rid of him.
if he hasn't learned to play mistake free basketball by now he's not going to.
p.s. he still can't guard any PG in the League

Re: Question: How good is our bench?
Sasha shooting below his career average in 3 pt %.. that's really terrible for a one dimensional player. Radmanovic and his 43% 3pt look golden now.
