O.T. Compare your game to an NBA Player

Post#1 » by vinnycorleone » Tue Mar 17, 2009 9:24 pm

I feel like my game is similar to Tayshaun Prince.

I have very lanky arms that allow me to be a sneaky blocker. I have a mid-range game. And I play some ferocious Defense.

How about you?

Damn Tony 6'1 and 220?!?

I'm 6'0 and 160.

I would definitely not be guarding you. Although my cross over would leave you wondering what city you're in. Haha

I live in Ladera Ranch.
Also I started hitting the gym again since summers around the corner, so I have been putting on some mass, and hopefully come summer time Im looking to tone down a little.
If your seriouly interested, I use to play over a this Apt complex off of Jamboree right after campus, everybody calls it THE CAGE.
I use to play there a while back, Im looking to start playing some more and I guess wednesdays around 6 to 10 they run some good games there.
So if you want send a mod a N# and maybe we can ball over there, I'll find out the name of the complex this week and let you know.
Cool

LOL. I live at Avenue One, only played at the Cage once though - blacktop does a number on my knees.

I compare my game to Kobe/Nash. Not that I am even close to either one, but they are the two players I've watched the closest over the years and naturally (with no real intent) my game began to resemble theirs.

In hindsight, I probably should've watched more of Dan Dickau...lol.

I'm down (with the mandatory caveat that I am able to get out of work on time)...wait, let me check the game sched...ok I'm down.

Btw...someone change the title or better yet merge this with a new thread about the GTG and have everyone who plans on coming post info about the player they resemble...good times.

But lets keep this thread bumping so we dont forget.
I think Minhee lives close by there too, maybe she can come by and meet up with us just to say hi.
Also other peps are invited too.
So Minhee if you do read this I hope to see you there too, it will be great meeting some of you guys.
I let some of my boys know too.

My game is like Luke Walton, I could pass grab some boards and am a "glue" guy. Did I just diss myself?

Shaq just before the Heat traded him to the Suns: slow, lazy, injured, tanking and ready to blame Stan Van Gundy behind his back for my own faults.

The male version of Sasha Vujacic. The one that showed up all through last season until the playoffs.

6'1", 215 pounds, Long arms.

Mix of Lamar Odom/Carmelo Anthony.

I like to board and push it. However, when I get hounded in the backcourt, then I'm not as good of a ball handler. Tend to always pass it when I see a couple people running at me.

Offensively, I love to post up, up to 15 feet from the basket. Like that little jumper from 15-20 feet. I also shouldn't take as many threes as I do, but I'm streaky with it.

Damnit, why do I have to live in Canada? Would be awesome to come out and ball with some of you guys.

Closest for me is Earl Boykins, but that's only cause we're both 5'5".

I would compare myself to Air Bud + Brian Cardinal + Fat Dude from Meatballs.

I can dribble three balls at once. Also, one time me and my crew beat the St. Vincent grade 6 girls squad 67-0 in a rout. I also hard fouled one of the members of the team on the last play of the game and the arresting officer said that I would be able to work on my "ball and dribbling" skills in a different place.

I would compare myself to Mike Penberthy. Knows how to play but can't really play and has long been irrelevant.

can shoot it from anywhere, decent rebounder, ball-hawk (getting in passing lanes, going for blocks)
ok post defender (6'4'') but i have very little quickness and athleticism, so you can drive by me all day

my abysmal ball-handling means i can't create much of anything for myself, and i'm soft and can get pushed around alot in the post and on the boards (160lbs) which is why i hang out by the 3 point line

so i don't know who would that be? vlad?
