If you had a choice which one would you want to be?
A famous athlete or someone who cured a disease.
By the way the most amount of money you could make is lets say 50 million.

assuming the "disease" is a major one, then it would be an easy pick for me. Help save thousands.. millions of peoples lives... or play a game.

Disease curer for the win.

So if you had the choice of saving people lives you would rather become a famous athlete instead.
Nothing wrong with that.
I mean think about it, If God gave people certain gifts and talents, to use that gift if you had the ability to save lives and to change lives and you chose to be a famous athlete instead then you basically care more about yourself than you would for others, and please dont take this the wrong way.

As a human being your legacy would be forever knowing that you had the ability to save peoples lives and you were the reason behind it, I think would be a greater accomplishment that would never be forgotten and always remembered for ever.

I dont know guys I would rather be the one who saved peoples lives than the guy who was good at playing a sport.

If you cured cancer you childrens children would be thanked and admired. That's prestige at it's finest. funner definitely would be the athlete, but I'll take generations of prestige.

Disease for the win. BUT - you guys are overlooking a related advantage to being a pro athlete.

Two words -- Dikembe Mutombo. Chew on it.

Sure I give props to D.M but I said you have 50 million athlete or not. So money is limited thats if your donating your money.
If you think about it, D.M can only touch a certain amount of people, his people, yet when you can cure a disease, like Danny said "If you cured cancer you childrens children would be thanked and admired".
Were not talking about a certain group of selected people, were are talking about humanity. EVERYONE who has this disease.

^Yup, which is why I chose disease curer.

Just wanted to throw DM out there b/c everyone seemed to focus solely on the fact that being a highly paid pro athlete was about playing ball. We don't see very many of them doing great things beyond the game, but the potential is there.

you really think people are going to remember? if your goal is to be remembered you should go with the athlete, to illustrate let me tell you a tale

:reporter: the year was 1928, there were two men both doing extremely different things. one would be credited with the discovery of one of the most important drugs in history, the other was one of the best players in the history of his sport

the men: Babe Ruth and Alexander Fleming, which one do the kids today remember?
