What Loss Was Worse?

The Lakers have lost 16 times this year.

What loss bothers you the most?

My pick is the San Antonio game where Roger Mason hit the game winner and Derek Fisher fouled him. We played such a good game. Kobe was clutch. And we blew it on a bonehead play.

Portland at Rose Garden. Its becoming a habit and I hate everything associated with that franchise and fan base.

Philly. Had a huge lead, blew it on a last-second 3 by a terrible shooter when we had a foul to give. At home, no less. If we finish a game behind the Cavs, that's the one that's going to stand out most to me.

These games stand out to me.

The last second tip by Troy Murphy at Indy.

At Miami and Orlando, plus the Philly game.

here is a thought/ question....of the current 16 losses, as far as memory serves, only about 5 of them were real true "losses" in so far as we never had it truly that given night...of which 11 of them we certainly had a chance to win, which from my my standpoint is a might achievement over this nucleus's performance of the last 3 seasons prior.

or maybe its all due to gasol.

but closing out teams has been an issue, wed have been 10 games better in 06/07/08 had we been able to stand the heat in the kitchen, which weve been better at, i think

what say you guys...?

At Indiana and vs Philly stand out the most to me. If it weren't for 2 buzzer-beaters, we'd effectively be up 2 full games on Cleveland (full game in the standings + tie-breaker). Other notable ones are both Orlando games, at Miami and at San Antonio. Those were all games we were in till the very end and definitely could have won. Our record could easily be 67-10 right now.

yeah thats a part of what i was saying...i really feel that not only could this team be under 10 in the L column, but actually should be...

just a three passes to pau in the the deep post during each game would probably have netted us down to 10...

it is frustrating to see it in that light, but it is also an major improvement for this core, which is still a very young team outside of kobe and fish...

the that its on my mind is the 76ers, if we loose the HCA that will be the game to blame lol, the spurs hurt a lot too, kobe had one of the most amazing games i ever saw him playing...

buzzer beaters always hurt the most, but they dont worry me. if were in the game, and we happen to lose because of a lucky shot (IND, SAS, PHI, etc) no worries. Its the games like our first loss (DET) and the blowout in POR that kill me because the team just took an off night; you cant afford to take off nights once the post season comes around

Florida road trip, two close games...had shots that were halfway down and came out in both of them (Kobe & Sasha)...but also the Philly game (late season, home, .500 team)

The first Charlotte loss, why didn't Phil leave Bynum in the 1st OT? he was sealing that game, and the first Magic loss, missed opportunities and bad D.

The last second loss to the 76ers, by far. We were thick in the race for home court and that was a defalting loss.
The loss to Indy and Charlotte also hurt, but the Philly game gave me angina.
