TMZ reports that 22-year-old Los Angeles Angels rookie pitcher Nick Adenhart was killed in a hit-and-run car accident early Thursday morning — just hours after pitching six shutout innings against the Oakland A's:

its hard to see some one so young and talented just go away.

He just had his mlb debut yesterday.

he had some appearances last season, so not his debut.

victim of a drunk driver, awful. one of the many reasons i choose not to drink alcohol.

I first heard about it this morning on Dan Patrick. Really aweful news. My office had a luxury box on Monday for opening night since we are located literally across the street from Angel Stadium. I see the big day everyday when I head to work.

Really tragic news. My throughts and prayers goes to the family of the victims in this accident. I never driven drunk. I have friends that do though. You just never know when it's your last day.

i didn't pay attention to it earlier. but i just realized it happened right on the same street that i work on. It's like a block away. Tragic. I learn to look twice now.
