LAST MEETING
The Lakers lost to the Blazers 111-94 in a game that may have lit the first fire to what may become one of the most feirce rivalrys the bottom half of this decade. With the Blazers ahead by 28 late in the 4th Trevor Ariza attempted to block a shot by Rudy Fernandez who was on a break away, Trevor made contact with Fernandez head causing him to land hard to the floor. This led to a brief skrimish between both teams near the Laker bench. Brandon Roy escalated most of the action causing Lamar Odom to leave the bench area that led to his suspension, Trevor was assessed a flagrant 2 but wasn't suspended. Trevor will be the target of venom of the fans in Portland.

I'm REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAALY nervous about this game. Going to be there again though :)

Hopefully nothing controversial happens and the players give it their all. We need this for seeding, plus its against the Lakers and the first game at home since we've clinched a playoff spot.

yaaaawwwnnn! Lakers will lose in a nonexistant rilvary again. next!

I think I am jaded to the Blazers (and their fans) butt hurt attitude due to the great comback of 2000.

Ugh... couldn't Bynum just wait until the playoffs to come back?? Portland needs this game desperately. Should be fun to watch! :)

Regarding super-bowl comment: why is it a bad thing that portland fans get amped up over games? Don't tell me you wouldn't love to have the staples center get like that once in a while.

Yup, revenge for the pass several years not being able to win it there!

Back to back game, Phil is out, away game... everything appears to be against us but i see us winning this statement game. It's time for change. yes we can lol.

Goin to be another physical game. Just hope Rudy doesn't put payback on ariza hehe

Go lakers!!

well, if lamar looks at anyone on the blazers' bench the wrong way, rest assured that it'll be seen as a suspension worthy offense. blazers' fans have a thing for lamar.

I always wish they'd list our postseason record with that. If memory serves we don't have much problem beating them up there when it counts.
