I have been very busy therefore haven't made many posts over the last 10 months but if you recall I dropped the Kidd and JO information while it was brewing... I have been informed that Bibby wants to join the Lakers next year (MLE) and his people have already reached out to our staff and the feelings are mutual... He wants to make a run at a championship with Kobe & Company... Farmar will be traded for a draft pick (apparently New Orleans and Miami are the frontrunners) given PJ's stance... PJ doesn't like the way Farmar "shoots first" and "passes second" and has a predisposition for veteran palyers...

On another note, I tried to get a read on LO and all I get is that Buss will try to keep the team together if they "win" but the general consensus is that LO will not return given salary CAP issues... Kobe will take $20 million over 5 years... Our lineup in '09 will be as follows:

PG: Bibby (6'1") & D Fish (6'2")
SG: Kobe (6'6") & Brown (6'4")
SF: Ariza (6'7") & Walton (6'8")
PF: Gasol (7'0") & Powell (6'9")
C: Bynum (7'1") & DJ (6'11")

I sure hope you are wrong on all accounts this time (with the exception of Farmar's arse being shipped out).

Bibby is a knockdown shooter and clutch as hell, but may very well be the worst defensive PG in the league.

Odom MUST be resigned. I will be very dissapointed if we don't get it done. Unless we have the inside track on another signing or trade, I have to think Odom will be back.

No sell on Bibby. Resign Odom and Ariza and draft a pg.

I agree, even if that means having Luke at the sf position.

ultimately, it all depends if the lakers win the championship this year or not. if they do, there will be less of a need to make changes..giving us hope that ariza and odom will sign for less and stay to win more championships.

I kind of wish we didn't sign Bynum to such a big contract. I consider Odom more valuable to the Lakers and it would really suck to see him go. Hopefully this isn't going down.

This doesnt make much sense. Lakers will already have a problem with signing Ariza and LO. Now they want to bring another outsider (Bibby) for MLE when Shannon Brown is playing pretty good basketball. Shannon is a much better defender at probably less than half the cost. Farmar being traded or let go is a given.

Not liking it. This isn't the same team without LO.

we need LO big time if we want to win championships.

Bibby is horrible. He played horrible for 3 quarters in Sacramento and then hit clutch shots in the 4th. So yes he's clutch, but so is Fish plus Fisher plays defense. Besides Bibby is a shell of the player he was, he's so incredibly unathletic nowadays. I'd rather have Farmar over Bibby and I don't even think Farmar belongs here. Just trade Farmar for a pick and get Mills or Collison. Bibby can go elsewhere.

Hope this isn't true, or half true. No to Bibby, Yes to trading Farmar.

I'd much like to keep Odom cause he just does so much with his versatility and mismatch for other teams. Kinda iffy on bibby though and like it was stated earlier, we're already going to be financially tied.

It won't be the same without Lamar.
