How is it kobe get's second place in defensive votes,but lebron comes in second in dpoy? can anyone explain this to me?

Because everyone Loves Lebron, I mean they have man crushes on him. He is the golden boy marketing dream for the NBA. Yet Lakers and Kobe are still the hottest item in the NBA. The bring in more money than any other NBA team. In China no one know who Lebron was it was all about the Kobe show. Its simple most of the voters vote on who they like not what they can do. Yes Leborn plays good defense but all his defence are like his dunks hight light reels for ESPN to yell to some stupid comment.

DPOY is voted based on the media, the All Defensive teams are determined by the coaches.

well i have no problem with howard being dpoy because he deserved it,but lebron's defense was vastly overrated this year. he has nice weak side blocks,but for all of his quickness and strangth the guy hardly stays in front of anybody.

all comes down to popularity i guess... but thats not kobe's focus as of right now.. it's the RING.
