If he doesn't start, he should get most of the minutes along with Brown.

It'll be good. Fisher was really struggling so bad.

Fisher could use the rest before Chauncey comes to town. I hope Phil starts Farmar. He'll be fresh and hungry.

Yes. When we face Denver, I think Fish won't struggle anymore. Billups is more of a Gary Payton or Sam Cassel type. Not a speed guard like Rondo, Paul or Nash. When he contests and challenge those shots, he'll be fine.

I'd like to see Shannon Brown on the court guarding Brooks today much more than in the previous games...

You guys were pretty ignorant about the whole Farmar/Brown who is better debate. I thought it was no debate at all and it was kind of funny. Now it's a month later and not much has changed. I think maybe since the Lakers never have good pg's I mean real good pgs in lala land even smart fans such as yourselves have maybe forgot how to see talent at that position i don't know.
Let me break it down for you on the whole Fisher/Farmar thing now, Farmar is clearly better then FIsher now to. Fisher has lost a few steps. He played awesome last year and was a very settling influenece out there and was invaluable but his time as the Lakers top pg is over.
The good news is we already have a pg who is better and ready to start. Probably been ready for at least a year now. His name is Jordan Farmar and unlike most of you predicted he is our future pg and will be resigned when it's time.
As for now if im right which I hope I am he will be saving us this series. As long as he starts and or gets 30 plus minutes we should win this game pretty easily.
Starting off the right way next series with Farmar we should beat the Nuggs. Once we do that all of you will jump right back on the Gasol,Bynum,Odom bandwagon you so easily jumped off in 1 series.
Our real problem is not us, it's we have to beat a kryptonion in the finals in Lebron James. That is the only thing I am worried about.

Yes and no. You guys do seem to be wierdly inaccuate about pg's well at least overrating Brown or thinking he is a pg and underrating Farmar but that wasn't an LA thing cause I made a trade proposal for fun at the Cats board involving Farmar and they to thought he sucked. Now I just expected more from you guys because you get to see Farmar more but it's probably not being ignorant but just jumping to conclusions to fast although it is true Farmar is the first real pg since who Nick Van Excel? I don't even know when the last time they had a real playmaking pg.
Your fans of the triangle so you don't really care about the pg stuff like playmaking and passing or those things. My guess is most of you think Fisher is one of the best pg's in the league.
Maybe im wrong. To me a guy who averages 2 assists and basically is only a shooter ala Derek Fisher is not a pg he is a small sg playing the pg position. As I was typing this I just remembered the last laker pg who was a pg and that was Payton but he only stayed a year.

"My guess is most of you think Fisher is one of the best pg's in the league."

anywhoo, just stop posting with all that lumping of fans into one entity or don't post at all.
"you guys do seem to be weirdly"
"i just expected more from you guys"
"you're fans of the triangle so you"
just stop.

I know this is draft talk but it's relavient here, if I was Mitch I wouldn't take any chances if Jkidd or AI don't come here this summer I would draft Jrue Holiday and Darren Collison and if 1 isn't avaliable I trade for him. Get them both. Don't take any chances. Jrue can play sg if somehow they both workout as solid pro's. That gives them 2 real pg's in Collison and Farmar and 3 combo guards in Fisher/Brown/Jrue who can backup Farmar and Kobe.

Obviously there are exceptions. Miles Im sure is one for example but U should have seen the thread were I was saying it's really stupid to think Brown is better then Farmar. There was so many people here who insisted he was even I started to think twice. Not 1 person thought the way I did and everybody who posted thought that way so that is who I was talking about and the majority.
I didn't think I would have to say the majority but obviously not everybody each time I talked about Laker fans but I will to not effend anybody and I actually mean that literally im not being a smartass or trying to mock you.

I might be a little bias on this matter (which doesn't mean I am wrong) but in the interest in full disclosure the pg is my favorite position to watch. Kobe is my favorite player but I love a pg who is very fast and can drive to the hoop and finsih amazingly fast (when fisher drives to the hoop I laugh) and I love a pg who can make plays meaning a real pg not a Fisher type who gets 0 assists and just shoots the 3.
I know Fisher was a key part to the Lakers success with his calmness and veteran savy and maybe the Lakers don't go as far as they did without him coming back but I can't help but think starting Fisher and not letting Farmar take over his rightful start at pg getting a consistant 28 mins plus it almost retards his development. Maybe if he started all year last year and this year we would be in a much better position.

No one said Brown was better than Farmar, only that Brown played better than Farmar in recent games. That's not even up for discussion.
