Kurt Rambis interviews with Ed Stefanski?

Post#1 » by Cru Thik » Tue May 19, 2009 11:36 pm

Tonight on one of the local sports tv shows they said Ed Stefanski had a interview with Kurt Rambis yesterday. Have any of you guys heard anything about this? What type of candidate would Kurt be for our vacant head coaching position? We have been talking about coaches like Eddie Jordan, Tom Thibodeau, Avery Johnson and Dwayne Casey to name a few. How would you rate Rambis to these other coaches?

If I were you I wouldn't pay too much mind unless they happen to hire him. He's been interviewed several times before and was never a serious candidate, and if his brief stint as a head coach in 05 is any indication he should stick to his assistant job. He can't motivate anyone and doesn't have enough control of his players to be a head coach anywhere.

Ideal scenario after Lakers win it all this season:
Rambis hired by Philly and Fisher retires and takes the coaching opening on Phil's bench

we'll just have to wait and see i guess.. but i don't think they'll sign him.. but then again who knows, kurt knows the lakers inside out. It's to their advantage if they hire him

Sure. His 5 mil can go toward resigning Ariza.... He remains an employee and keeps his benefits which are critical for his daughter's eye treatment. He had to learn a thing or three playing for Phil, Del, Jerry Sloan and Mike Montgomery.
