An e-reporter (Pinkpus?) who isn't widely accepted and respected on RealGM, but does have a bit of a fan base, at least it did 3 years ago or so.
Anyways.. he made the mistake of self-promoting himself on this forum and posting a few "false rumors"* (which he claimed to be ironclade/done-deals).
*IE. a dude named Jack Haley made the same mistake by calling in a Boozer to LA trade years ago and was hated on after he shot and missed.
But back to the point, he isn't considered very credible in our circles.
Side note: I was told and I do believe that he implied in an article 4-5 years back that I should've gone 6 feet under after I gave him some constructive criticism. What a "D.B."

And back to the point: Emplay = code for you got played. (especially so when we're talking rumors regarding the LA Lakers)
Why? B/c that dude Pinkpus' screen name is "Emplay" on many Lakers forums; writing articles pushing his work on websites.
IE? Sure.

Emplay fan/reader: "John Stockton is coming out of retirement to play for the Lakers!"
Snaq: "O RLY?"
Emplay fan/reader: "It's true b/c Emplay said so."
