Former Duke Players Defending Kobe...
Shane Battier checked Kobe in the last series... and Dahntay Jones is currently trying to guard him. So, does that mean if the Magic advance to the NBA Finals J.J. Redick will take on the task of trying to stop The Black Mamba?

Funny thing is if Kobe went to college, he was going to choose Coach K and Duke.

“There’s no maybe about it,” Bryant says. “Every time I turn on the TV and see Cameron Indoor Stadium, see everybody in Krzyzewskiville and see the Crazies jumping up in down with the intensity and the building almost shaking, I wonder what it would have been like to play there with Corey [Maggette] and Elton [Brand] and all those guys."

I can't count high enough to quantify the sum I'd pay to watch J.J. Redick guard Kobe Bryant.

He's right. Kobe said he was leaning toward Duke.

Also, lets remember that after Jackson left the last time Kobe was pushing hard to have the Lakers bring in Kryzewski. Plus Kobe did nothing but rave about playing for Coach K during the Olympics... He is definitely a Dukie in heart.

Yeah, but Boozer didn't take him in the first round so your theory is flawed .

Well we'll see what happens, SVG switched out Reddick for Courtney Lee. If that works for them against Cleveland, I would assume he would go with the same lineup vs the Lakers. Kobe Bryant vs Reddick would be like Christmas to Kobe. In fact if that happened, I wouldn't be surprised if Kobe requested to guard another player just to get some challenge.

I thought this thread was going to be about the Lacrosse team defending him.
