Unidentified Player: Lakers Paid $50k For Game 5 Win.
More like a Unidentified wussy making claims since they got their arses handed to them is crying about losing.
Seriously Karl and the Nuggets have to be the biggest group of FAKE THUGS assembled. First they claim they are the best and they arent going to back down from anybody and the Lakers have to go through them. Then they have to resort to playing dirty and we do have proof of their dirty tactics and just like last night when Melo went for Kobes neck and he wasnt called for a flag, and now they are crying about their loss making claims that we paid for game 5.
I think we watched the same game last night when Melo, Kmart, Smith etc were throwing up more bricks than a brick layer, airballs, getting beat on the boards etc. So just like always the emotional mentally insecure who has to resort to dirty tactics and his D league son spying for him, Mr George Karl has to sit in his post interview making claims and just like everytime he lost crying to the media and making complains about Phil and Phils addressing the Nuggets playing dirty. I mean was Phil lying, or was he only addressing the truth?
Anyhow Im sure Mr Karl will be hearing from the league office today just like Phil did. So hopefully maybe that will help your team win game 6. As far the unidentified wussy, its just goes to show how much cahones the Nuggets players have for not wanting to be identified. How brave of you to run your mouth (Kmart) and then wussing out like you always do. If you got something to say THEN SAY IT. Like I said buch of cowards and fake thugs. Nothing has changed.
http://basketball.realgm.com/src_wireta ... ame_5_win/Phil Jackson and the Lakers were fined $25k apiece as a punishment for his comments regarding the officiating in Game 4.
At least one member of the Nuggets believed those comments factored into how Game 5 was called.
"The Lakers paid $50,000 to win that game. They got their money's worth," said a Denver player, not wanting to be identified for fear of retribution from the league.

Jones made it so the Nuggets don't have a free pass to play outside of the rules anymore, not Phil.
And, whomever made that statement knows it. Jones went too far, the league wanted to clamp down on it, as they should.
It shouldn't have been allowed in the first place. Phil pointed it out and got hit with a fine. Jones' slack was cut off for a game, as it should. I hope it stays that way because this is basketball, not hockey.
If Shannon Brown would have tripped Melo and shoved him in the back mid-air, Karl would have had some words for the league, too, believe me. As a coach, keeping your superstar away from getting hit by non-basketball dirty plays is part of the job.

Only 50K for a playoff win? That means championship #15 only costs $250,000!!!!! Open those pockets and pay up, Jerry!

I thought the officiating was pretty favorable to us last night. I can't blame the Nuggets, I would be pissed, too.
Esp. Nene, he got jobbed.

Oh man I was PISSED listening to Karl in the post game.
"Great series and great game, I'm not gonna talk about it... but but but today...waaaaaahhhhhhhhh"
Made me sick. Are you serious? I know its a little gamesmanship but come on. You got 50 FREE THROWS last game. and not to mention numerous missed calls, travel on Mello, out of bounds, etc.
Mello got beat up? He got 13 fts on 23 shots, are you kidding? Have you watched how your team has played Kobe this series? Did you see Kobe get beat up? STFU
I thought the officiating in game 4 was terrible, but I and most of fans I know and even the players themselve knew they didn't deserve the game because they were soft on the boards and soft inside.
I think Phil was commenting mostly on the dirty plays and the overall 90+ FTs total that ruined the flow of the game. Consequently they let both teams play a lot more this game AND the Lakers were far more aggressive. Your undersized bigs got taken to the rack and abused Karl, have some cheese with that whine buddy. Pau and Lamar got their crap slapped back in their face quite a bit at first and you know what? They went right back at it and started dunking on them.
Please Karl. Please you pansy unidentified millionaire afraid to get a little fine... The officials didn't cause KMart to brick 3 of his weak little running push shots in a row. The officials didn't cause JR and Chauncy to hoist up quick **** 3s and brick them. The officials didn't cause you to fail to inbounds the ball properly AGAIN. The officials didn't cause Chauncy to throw the ball directly to Pau 2 times in a row. The officials didn't cause big ol Nene to somehow fall down on minimal contact. Take your flop and gtfo. The officials didn't cause Denver's bigs to consistently put up weak stuff that Pau and Lamar blocked easily. The officials did however allow Kobe to get raped in the 4th and the officials did however give Mello numerous touch fouls ON THE PERIMETER in the 4th.
Minus the technical it was 34-30 fts, are you kidding? And look at the charts, ALL of our FTs were at the rim taking it strong. We got no perimeter calls all night long. Nene? he took 3 shots...Most of KMart's 15 were jump shots. Smith bricked 9 of 10 threes. Nene had 1 or 2 weak calls sure, but he also had some obvious ones and got away with plenty too, watch Kobe's alleyoop, Nene fouls him but it doesn't even look like anything because Kobe so easily finishes with just the 1 hand.
Get owned Karl, I have 0 respect for Karl and the Nuggs after that and I live in Denver. Cry me a river, that was probably the best officiated game of the series. It was actually fun to watch to see them actually go at most of the game. I loved the 4th quarter, besides the touch fouls on mello and a few obvious ones on our guys down low they pretty much let them really go after it and let the players decide it. Intead of 1 on 1 plays (which Denver's offense was almost entirely during the 4th) and a stretch where Kobe struggled a little getting the pick and roll going, LA really moved the ball well and got it force fed inside for easy buckets. Denver is mentally weak and fragile and so is its coach. Que the Timberlake music someone.
Cry me a river...whoa cry me a riiverrrr....

A few calls were in our favor just like in Game 4 where the calls were in the favor of nuggets...
Thats what home court is all about.. The crowd clouds the judgment of not just the opposition players but also of the refs..
I dont think Karl was complaining after getting all those calls/no call in their favor.. Get a life George and the nuggets.. u are just distrait at losing and getting outmaneuvered by phil

Hahahahaha ! This is getting hilarious from the Nuggets.

They say they have changed this year ? No signs of serious attitude. K-Mart will be K-Mart forever. The same with Jones, Smith and Karl, who's one of the dumbest coaches I've ever seen in NBA.

So ture, I think he sucks as a coach who cant control any of his players, and Im amazed at how people are calling for him to go into the H.O.F. How can a coach so bad even be considered in the H.O.F

If you are going to say that, man up and show who you are.
This is a stupid comment that I think may backfire on them.
I cannot see how the league or the refs would be sympathetic toward a player or team that essentially implies that a game was bought.

The way to stop a bully from punking you is to fight back. Denver is a dirty team, now when the Lakers give them a dose of their on medicine, now they want to cry like little girls....and they 've been getting all of the important calls.

I think the point he (the player) was trying to make was Phil Jackson being able to easily manipulate the refs with just a few words and 50 grand. May be that was the strategy George Karl was trying to follow in the press conference, lets see how it works for them.
