Whoever it is, they need to replace Fisher.

I wonder if the Lakers can sucker the Grizzs again and get the #2 pick

I think Darren Collison makes sense if he's there when the Lakers pick. I really want them to trade into the teens though, get a guy like Ty Lawson, Eric Maynor, or one of the bigger PG prospects if they drop (Flynn, Holiday, Curry)

Trade picks for 2nd or 3rd year players. See Maurice Evans as an example please.

I think Gasol would be ecstatic to play with Ricky Rubio and I'm damn sure he is much better than fisher. I bet Jose Carlos Navarro will sign for like min to join Lakers. But realistically not happening.
If they don't trade the pick for a veteran player...I would like them to get a senior like Hansbrough if Odom doesn't get resigned for some forward depth with the late 1st round pick. Otherwise I think it is important to replace Sasha and start Brown over Fisher.
Maybe that French guy that Pietrus is friend with for the early 2nd round. The late 2nd round is going to be a dump so might as well not sign that player. He might become a pietrus type player with less defense which would be great replacement for Sasha.
Sasha Vujacic = The Phail Machine = The Ring Blocker
Trade Sasha before he ruins the Lakers next season.

Sasha + Pick will net us nothing. No team will take Sasha alone... only if we attach something they want with him.

I get word from Sun Yue's agent that his confidence is shot. My friend told me during the playoffs that he had dinner in Alhambra with Yue and his agent before and he didn't feel all that confident with his current status with the Lakers.

Sun Yue is gone for sure.. he has no chance in the NBA.. he will have to work it out in the Dleague or europe for 2-3 years before he can be a bench contributor..

Nick Calathes.
He is the functional version of Luke Walton ... a passer, but also a good shooter who can guard some ones and mostly all twos.
He's a baller but I really probably like him so much because I like him as a backup to Jason Kidd ... I think he would be really good in this role easily beating out Vujacic.

I don't want another Luke even when we have Luke already. Gotta fix our weaknesses not make them bigger.

Or the Clippers trade Blake Griffin to the Lakers for the better locker room and Sasha's parking space.

Affirmative Action, anyone?
If the Lakers trade Sasha/Sun Yue I'll be happy to come in and sit on the bench and get paid for being an inactive player.

Do it Mitch!

Re: Who do we draft
doesone anyone know how "big" sun yue is now? how much muscle has he put onto that 160 lb frame of his?
as with farmar, ammo and sun yue, it all depends on summer camp. if they all want to stay with the lakers badly enough, theyd all work hard during the summer like bynum
i dont know anything about draftees, but id like someone with range and a sweet stroke capable of contributing immediately OR if we win a chip, maybe a project player and hide him in europe (ie marc gasol)

Re: Who do we draft
I don't think its a total given that the Lakers will draft a PG. In the summer of 2010 there will be guys like Duhon and Blake available who can very quickly take Fishers place on the roster also the Lakers still have Farmar and hopefully Brown next season I think its very likely that Lakers draft a SF or a SG I personally like Ellington or Budinger but I'm not sure they'll be available at the Lakers pick. If the Lakers can make a Mihm-like trade with Morrison and get a second round pick for Sasha spots will become available and by trading those 2 guys will make it alot easier to keep both Odom and Ariza.
GO LAKERS

Re: Who do we draft
I would actually look into a SG/SF who can actually score on his own or a big SF/PF like a Dajuan Summers.
I think Brown, Farmar and a journeyman are fine at triangle PG. A late first round rookie probably won't develop into more than those guys.
