I love Fisher and all but F him. The games about match ups and just doesn't match up well against certain point guards.

"Fisher's the rock of this team," Lakers forward Luke Walton said.

That's great. He can be the rock on the bench for all I care.

Phil says, "He knows what's important to us and what the focus should be."

If that is indeed the case, how can he make so many ridiculously bad decisions? If he played the game like, say, Ron Harper and A.C. Green did on our '00 championship team, I wouldn't have much of a beef. But he plays so far outside himself at times that it's almost impossible to fathom.

I like and respect Fish as much as anyone -- he's been a great pro and an even better representative of our organization -- but if we haven't replaced him by next year then we'll be competing with an arm tied behind our back. We probably are already.

Sorry but Fisher is way too old and it has shown in the play offs. It will be interesting to see if he can keep up with Alston. My money says Alston takes him off the dribble whenever he wants.

I don't need an article to tell me what I should think when I have two eyes and can see everything that takes place. The article is disingenuous and a little pompous.

Alston should very well take Fisher off the dribble. However, we just went through Deron a super fast Brooks and Billups.

I think Derek is one of the most important members of our team, but not as a player.

I'll borrow a term from crew...Fisher should be our coxswain, not a rower.

We should use him to begin the two halves and then a bit more if his shot is falling but no way he should be averaging any more than 12 mins a game playing the way he's been recently.

- can't defend his guy to save his life
- can't run even a decent fast break
- makes bad decisions (on shots)
- can't make an entry pass
- can't make even open jumpers
- can't make a layup

Basically, we not only play with 4 vs 5 but the dude has been counterproductive so in essence, it's 4 vs 6.

How a guy with this type of resume gets a starting role on the squad is beyond me. Say what you will about his professionalism, but S Brown has been steady in his play. His energy, effort and "ready when called upon" attitude should have earned him more of Fish's minutes.

That's on Phil though.

watch him hit a game winning 3 inthe most pivotal game of this series which will in hindsight be seen ast he series winning shot.

That short little guy is resilient and annoying and clutch.

If he gets his shot back and he'll be fine. I remember last year and early this season, he was deadly from anywhere. We need that kind of Derek Fisher. That Article gave me the point why he's still on the floor most of the time , especially in end games.

derek fisher is going to be on the floor regardless of whether he deserves to or not

kobe trusts him to make shots, just as he trusts trev and sasha to make shots.
