Was Kobe elbow on Jameer in OT a offensive foul
The play where Kobe passed out to Fish and in the process Jameer got elbowed ( a no call by refs), everybody including Mark Jackson, Charles Barkley are calling it should have been a offensive foul..
That was a critical play down the stretch..
To me Jameer looked late on the close out.. and contact was incidental.. and infact could have been called foul on Jameer..
Am i wrong here?

I see Fisher, in Jameer's position, always getting called for a foul.

Shouldn't be under Kobe's chin and that don't happen. Howard smoked Ariza, no call, the Magic had plus 17 in free throws and if Dwight worked on his free throws like his pouting he would have won.
They refs gave them every chance of the home court advantage. Up 3, 11 sec, 2 foul shots make one lol . D Fish for life baby...................

Re: Was Kobe elbow on Jameer in OT a offensive foul
no.
the reason being, he walked up into him. the space was kobes, but he stuck his face in kobes space. when kobe turned a natural turn swinging his body, his face was there. jameers fault.
secondly, IN THE FINALS, no freakin way do you fall down in those close tight situations. its like your begging for a call, and ive seen tons of finals as most here, the refs swallow the whistle and dont call crap in late game situations! you must MAN UP and get back to your man, because that left shard to come over, but he was late . . . AND POW!!!! FACIAL!!! 3PT FOR THE WIN!!!

Re: Was Kobe elbow on Jameer in OT a offensive foul
Jameer move into that space AS Kobe was making a natural motion. The timing and positioning of it is not a foul imo.
If he was there before Kobe started that move then yes, but he clearly moved into it as Kobe had already started to swing though.
On my personal opinion, I don't think that should ever be a foul because no defender shoudl have any right to be in that close of space and if they are the consequences shouldn't penalize the offensive player. If Fish drops down right into Dwight's chest as he's spinning and takes an elbow, its either nothing or a foul on Fisher imo.

It wasn't an offensive foul, because the refs didn't call it an offensive foul.
Should it have been called however? Possibly, looked incidental to me though, Kobe was making a pass and Jameer ran into the elbow.

If there were any missed calls the two most prominent are the elbow on Nelson but dont forget the shove Howard put on Pau I think it was the play before the elbow. Like Mark Jackson says it all worked itself out.

No way... absolutely not an offensive foul. Jameer ran into Kobe's elbow as Kobe was passing the ball out to Fisher. Plus it was obvious that Nelson flopped big time trying to draw the foul.

Don't think so, Kobe is already in the motion to pass, but Nelson runs up right under him, incidental contact, good no call.

Nelson got into Kobe's space while Kobe was making a natural motion. And if I remember, kobe's elbows were pretty tight to begin with.

tough to call. Jameer tried to sell it. but you cant expect the refs to bail you out in that kind of situation.
Greatest comment I've ever received.

Its like a midget hugging a bra model, his head just happens to be at a convenient height.

Watching that replay, it certainly looked like Nelson ran into Kobe's elbow and flopped. No Foul IMO

Nelson came into Kobe's space. If Nelson was taller, he would have gotten the elbow in his chest and not the chin.
