My stance was although I thought the refs were horrible I didnt really care because at the end of the dad nobody cares. History doesnt care. Im sure the Lakers featuring Magic Johnson in the 80's playing the Celtics got robbed of many, many calls. MJ got molly woped by the pistons. Bottom line is nobody cares. People only count CHIPS. So while we all agree that the lakers were getting jobbed. Kobe will not get that pass if he wants to be considered top 5 of all time. Most/All laker fans are pulling for Kobe to be rated as one of the greatest to every play this game, but like MJ, and Magic, excuses wont work. In 6 years we will be saying, "kobe has 7 rings", we wont be talking about the refs. We are all on the same team.....

Control what you can control, and don't waste energy worrying about what you can't.
That's what my H.S. football coach always taught us, and I believe it more and more the older I get. I just think it's so weak sauce to bitch about the officials when your team is playing like crap.
Look what happened in the second half. Did the officiating get any better? Hell no. In fact, it probably got worse considering at one point we were outshot 19-0 from the free throw line.
What did improve? Our effort, our energy, our play -- all things we could control, and that's why we ended up winning. That's the only thing I was trying to get at. Probably not as eloquently as I could have, but the point remains.

I love that sig with all our great former players. Mikan, West, Chamberlain, Kareem, Magic, Shaq, Kobe -- a lot of franchises don't even have one player who rates with those guys, and we've had one just about since our inception. We have been truly blessed.
