Which Laker are you most happy for?

Which Laker are you most happy for and why?

For me, it is Lamar Odom. I always thought Lamar got a raw deal where ever he went since his days with the Clippers. Then Miami traded him for Shaq, and there was pressure on him to perform. Even Laker fans got on him. He stuck with it though. He is a great teammate, sacrifices on and off the court, and really deserves to say he was part of a champion. I read that S.I. article about Lamar a few months back, and it made me root for him a little more. He's my favorite Laker.

I'm also very happy for Kobe. He works so damn hard. Game 1, I saw the best from Kobe. Not with his play (though that was spectacular), but I could just see he wanted the title so much. He's one of the hardest workers in history; those kinds of players are champions even if they don't win. But he won, too. :D He looked genuinely happy when that buzzer sounded tonight.

First timers in Gasol, Luke, Ariza, Odom and for vets like Fisher, Kobe, its all hard to pick.

Hell, I'm even happy for Sun Yue. In your face Yao and Yi.

OMG, Adam Morrison has a ring.

Sad that former Lakers like Turiaf aren't part of this team.

For me it's Kobe and Odom.

Kobe killed that monkey on his back, and you just gotta feel for what Odom's been through.

other than the obvious KOBE

Lamar Joseph Odom - he has been through a whole heap - and deserves this, our X-factor, and the guy who has talent to burn is starting to get it all together.

Hopefully he is back next season - with what he said mis season, i think thats a huge possibility

''less is still a lot'' - in reference to his contract

Kobe cuz he willed them

Lamar because he deserved it, with all he has overcome, coming off the bench, best 6th man in the L, but he deserved it more than just the tragedy guys.

What about Pau guys, geez. Pau was so consistant, he was a rock, and he progressed gradually and peaked in the playoffs. He was THE most important Laker to winning this trophy IMO, he was judge jury and executioner of the frontline.

Fish of course.

As well as Ariza, dude has icewater in his veins.

Sasha is commiting crimes by taking a ring. Fn' Morrison deserves the ring more than Sasha.

1) Kobe, because of his will to win and the amount of work he puts in day and night to achieve his goals.

1) Lamar, after all he's been through. I'm happy he has a ring but he is Champion even without it.

1) Gasol, after losing in the first round or not making it in the playoffs with the Griz.. he deserves this. He's been such a vital part of our game.

1) Fisher, obviously. A great individual. Glad he got his 4th.

1) Luke, getting his first after going through the hell of '04.

1) Ariza, for the effort and energy he plays with each and every game.

1) Phil, I almost forgot about Phil. To see him ahead of everyone.. Amazing. 10 Championships.. ridiculously amazing.

odom due to the fact he was in the thick of things during those smush and kwame days. All those trade rumors being benched and never an allstar etc...

Most in Order: Gasol (first - skilled big man who won his first), Odom, Kobe, Fisher, Ariza.

Least in Order: Morrison, Sun Yue, Sasha (last)
Sasha Vujacic = The Phail Machine = The Ring Blocker

Trade Sasha before he ruins the Lakers next season.

Pau, because he's so soft, and sucks so bad on D -- he needs all the affirmation he can get.

Kobe - For all the haters who found it covenant to pile on at will, and for the one's that said he always sucked in the Finals. Well he's joined a small class with only Jordan and Jerry West to pump 30 or more in the first 4 games. To all the haters..................shhhhhhhhhhh be quite now.

LO - He's just been through so much in his life, the tide had to turn at some point. Glad it did tonight.

I'm thrilled for all the first time winners because, for the most part, they had to go through the debacle that was game six in Boston and the summer of everyone saying that they were too soft to win a title.
Fisher for hitting big shots and stepping up to the moment when a lot of people thought that he was done.
Phil for getting past Red Auerbach and the ridiculous notion that he couldn't win a title with a team that wasn't ready made.
And last and the one that I'm the most happy for, Kobe Bean Bryant. The reclamation project that is his career after 2004 is now complete. Kobe was a pariah after the loss to the Pistons in the Finals, with the Colorado allegations and his presumed role in the demolition of the Shaq/Kobe Era. He lost a ton of endorsements and public sentiment. He endured three of the worst seasons wins wise of his career with the missed playoffs/first round/first round exits. He had to play with teammates the likes of Smush Parker and Kwame Brown. He publicly demanded a trade and threw Bynum under the bus, and he was labeled a terrible teammate. The Lakers stayed the course, got Kobe Gasol, Fisher, Ariza, etc; and they are finally back to being champions!

I'm glad I'm not the only one saying it.......

ODOM

He deserves it. He's worked hard, he's gone through a lot, and he's a great person. I think a lot of fans are happy for him, and he deserves it. Lets hope we keep him!!
