Kobe Bryant Proves He Can Win Championship With Luke Walton

"I was so sick of hearing people say how I couldn't do it with Luke out there," said Bryant, acknowledging that his teammate's deficiencies have overshadowed the Lakers since Walton was drafted in 2003. "It gets annoying to hear that question over and over, but you can't argue it. You can't deny it. You have to show that you can prevail alongside one of the worst small forwards in the game."
"Now I just want to kick back and savor the moment," Bryant added. "I feel like a huge 6-foot-8, 235-pound burden has been lifted from my back." .......

Once I heard a fan heckle Luke saying he cursed the team because he showed up and then the dynasty broke up.
Thats funny.
Luke is great but his contract is absolutely horrible. The 8th best player on a team should not make close to 6 mil. Same w/ Machine.

luke won't even be making 6 mil the last yr of his deal. he made less than 4.5 this yr.

yeah, that gotta be parody news. that's like a major diss right now. Luke would have been so emotionally hurt, he couldn't have helped us with them crucial shots. But true his contract is kinda high for his involvement.

Phil calls Luke "the Stabilizer" . His contract is the only issue. And nobody in the league feeds the post better than Luke. He's a good role guy to have... just not at 5-6 mil for 17 years.

Luke gets a lot of heat on this board, and while I agree with some of it, I would still pick him over Sasha 10 times out of 10!

In addition, Bryant said he tried to focus on making up for Walton's lack of production by scoring at least ten times as many points as the small forward.
