Hey Lakers fans ,

congrats on aqquiring Ron Artest for the SF Position .

My question is , do you think Kobe and Ron Artest will get along?
didnt they have some kind of beef before (trash talking during a game)

give me your thoughts
and thanks for responding!

Oh yeah , i forgot to add , sorry if this has already been discussed before .

They're friends that was just their competitiveness. Kobe Bryant steamrolled Pau Gasol during the Olympics if I recall correctly.

well uhh, there is no getting along. there is a SUPERSTAR, and everybody else. dont listen to the SUPERSTAR, and you will get your ass chewed out and told off. artest knows that, he will listen and play along, and thats the end of story.

Kobe and Ron were friends for a long time. Their families hang out with each other.

Doesn't concern me in the least. He submitted to KB24 in the playoffs, he has big respect for him.

I'm concerened with him getting suspended for popping somebody during the season, but it
wouldn't be a Laker.

Artest will be fine. He's a person that will fight for his team, not against it. When he switches jerseys, same approach there.

He'll be a warrior for Kobe.

In regards to Artest, there won't be any internal problems. Odom and Kobe are both good friends with Artest and together with the Zen Master. Artest will play with a team mentality. Our biggest concern is hoping that Artest doesn't attack an opposing NBA player during the playoffs so that he gets suspended. There's more of a suspension/ejection risk rather than anything internal. Artest is going to be Kobe's Rodman basically.

Man I would love to see these guys battle in practice every day. Their going to raise each others competitiveness, which is the scariest thing about adding Ron IMO. Their relationship is going to a positive thing, while it seems a lot of casual laker fans feel the opposite.

Not that I expected the team to come out complacent next season, but if we brought the same roster back fresh off a championship summer it wouldn't shock me if they came out slower. Artest adds another hungry driven player
