Nate Robinson the answer?

Post#1 » by mmyers37 » Sun Jul 5, 2009 5:34 pm

The Lakers are allegedly taking a serious look at Nate Robinson's situation...or at least the Lakers are among the two most serious inquirers.

Teams should be more reluctant to try to punk the Lakers when we can have two psychos on the court at the same time. :)

"According to a person familiar with the situation, two of Robinson's five most serious inquiries have come from the NBA Finalists -- the Lakers and Magic. If Turkoglu winds up in Toronto, Orlando might get serious with Robinson."

Honestly, not comfortable having Nate play along Artest. With Artest, the priority should be Odom then trying to re-sign brown or look to do a trade.

Fans are already worried about chemistry issue... this would be a terrible move... very high risk, low reward (no way odom can get re-signed if Lakers pay Nate).
Sasha Vujacic = The Phail Machine = The Ring Blocker

Trade Sasha before he ruins the Lakers next season.

If he wasn't already going to be an unrestricted FA after next year, I'd say Chris Duhon is a great fit for this team. The knicks are going to use him one more year and then let him walk... Nate is going to be a great energy guy his whole career, better as a 6th man IMO.

He is a RFA and we are also out of money...I guess we can trade Adam Morrison straight up since he is an ending contract, but aren't we trying to save money? Nate is going to want a multiyear contract. Also Nate is a shootfirst shooting guard in a PG body

I think there are better options out there, but I would be pretty excited about picking up Nate Robinson.

If Nate takes a contract starting at 6 million a year the Lakers can trade Jordan and Sasha or Morrison for him basically the Lakers would be paying one player almost the same amount they were paying 2 players. I dont see how that makes getting Nate tougher.

I don't think he is the smart answer to our PG woes.

Hell no to Nate. Why would we need him? We have enough offense. What we need is a good defender with a decent 3 point shot at PG. Nate is far from that

Knicks wont sign and trade with us because we have nothing to give up that they would want..

Jerry buss would have to file for bankruptcy because of the sky high pay roll.. to sign him straight up..

This deal aint happening.

What are you trying to do make a whole team with the biggest collection of douches in the NBA.

What do you guys think of Larry Hughes for Ammo, Sasha & Yue (I am not sure if the salaries are close enough). We might have to add cash to make this trade happen. Lakers get a big expiring and a decent player. NY gets an expiring, a player who can flourish under Mike D's system (Sasha) & a prospect in Yue.

Nate Robinson isn't the answer to anything. Except the question, "who is the last PG the Lakers should pursue?"
