So... does this make Boston favorites in east? Boston vs Lakers rematch likely?

WE NEED Odom now.

This is a great match-up

Fish-Rondo
Kobe-Allen
Artest-Pierce
Gasol-KG
Bynum-Perkins

Odom-Sheed
The rest of the bench

It would be great matchups. I remember how much problem we were having with bigger and stronger players against Ariza. Like Pierce and Melo :o

If this finals matchup happens... I'm really glad Lakers got Artest... Ariza would have been a major weakness against Pierce.

so what happens to Big Baby now?

I thought he did a great job in the absense of Garnett.

This is a great move for the Cs.
Rasheed can still play specially on the defensive end.

Lakers vs Cs would be an awesome matchup.
Bringing Lamar back is critical not just because of a potential matchup with the dreaded Cs. I think that having Artest guarding Pierce is a much more significant matchup. He will bring a toughness that we did not have against them in last years Finals. He will not allow Pierce to back us down like he did last year.
I can't wait until next year.

This move makes me think that Cleveland really needs to make another move. I think the Celtics are the clear favorite in the East.

Having a healthy Garnet made the Cs the favorites in the East in my view.
The Rasheed signing makes them tough to beat in a Finals matchup with us.
I still think the Lakers would be the favorites, but it is a tougher matchup as Rasheed would bring out one of our bigs to the 3 point line.

This is a great get by the C's. It looks like G Hill might be right behind Sheed unfortunately.

The good thing about Sheed as far as value, we got our MLE, at 30 years of age compared to Boston's at 35.

Nothing better than a BOS/LAL finals.

nice move by the celtics but nothing major. sheed is washed up imo. he is an older version of dirk. a 7 foot jumpshooter who rarely goes to the post anymore. if we resign odom,i still don't see them being able to handle us.

LA has enough size and muscle to play with anyone in the NBA. If the Lakers/Celtics meet in the finals, the speed of the Lakers cannot be matched. Boston now has a collection of 35-36 year old key players and I like the LA bench alot more than Boston at this point. (with Lamar/Brown back)

this doesn't make them favorites, KG being healthy does that

The Artest move and the Wallace move wash each other out

Bynum's development is going to be huge vs. the Celtics.

2010 will be 2009 late Celtics vs. Lakers

we are the defending champions, no doubt. but boston has to be up there as certainly the favorite (vegas wise) in taking the title.

Even though i still think we can take Boston in the Finals, even with a healthy KG and the addition of Wallace, that's only if our boys can play their A game. This Boston team may be older than the 2008 title team but i think they're deadlier. Wallace is a proven winner and will definitely create some problems for us as he will be making one of our bigs come out and guard him on the perimeter. Now it's BEYOND crucial that Bynum is fully developed come Finals time if we meet Boston there.

Artest 30 starting & Rasheed @ 35 coming off the bench is a wash?

UGK if KG is back to normal health, they are the clear favorites to me to reach the final. It also looks like GHill might be following Sheed to BOS as well.

Grant Hill supposed to sign w'C's by Friday....here's to hoping for Lakers vs. Celtics once again...even though I'm a C's fan and thus NOT a Lakers fan---you guys earn my respect for winning with class and dignity---not like the way the Cavs celebrated all year like they already won it...Good Luck in 2009-2010 guys!
