Because Michael Jackson's Thriller was at number 1 for 37 weeks. Just heard bout it. Nice tribute to Micheal I guess.

jersey numbers are usually below 55 because refs have to signal them, bu you have the exceptions ofc.

Ya I am pretty sure the NBA is the only level that allows numbers 6-9. College on down no one uses those numbers
