hinrich, fisher, brown is a solid point guard group.

they have derrick rose. do they need hinrich to back him up for 3 more years at $9.75 million, $9.25 million, $8.25 million? it's no secret they have been trying to move hinrich. farmar is a cheap option for a backup point guard. they can also let him expire along with morisson for more cap space in 2010. they want to sign a max player to go with rose.

Sweet... I wish the news was Lamar, as well, but I really think Brown is still a guy who could be a big plus for us. I do think we start looking to package some people for a pg upgrade, though. Maybe let Sasha re-establish some value and move him and farmar for someone early season.

The Bulls will keep Hinrich now that Ben Gordon is gone.

And to those saying to trade for a starting PG...

I don't think we really need a starting caliber PG that you are thinking of...such as Kirk Hinrich or Jason Kidd etc. Remember the Bulls won 6 titles with the likes of Ron Harper, John Paxson, and Steve Kerr playing PG and we have won 4 rings with Derek fisher.

We don't need star power at PG, we just need more consistent play *cough cough* Jordan Farmar *cough cough* from the PGs that we already have. Now that we signed Brown hopefully he can provide that if Farmar can't.

they will be sending farmar and morrison's contracts to chicago so that money is used on hinrich for next season. hinrich's salary goes down to $9.25 million for 2010 and that's when fisher's contract is up. then hinrich's salary is down to $8.25 million for 2011 when vujacic's contract is up. they can make it work. i think hinrich is a very underrated player. he's one of the best defensive point guards and a very good 3 point shooter. he's the perfect poinnt guard for the triangle. the west is stacked with great point guards. we need him to defend them.
