Me & Mitchell, same wavelength...

I follow these NBA drafts religiously, it's like XMAS day.

I watch the drafts LIVE and I get pumped when a player I like falls, or someone b4 the LAL makes a bad reach it opens up a door for our LAL, etc.

No b.s. I guessed Farmar and the Crittenton b4 the pick came in in those draft years, and I just heard Mitch talk of Ellington if he fell that far. I would have been 3 for 3 if Ellington didn't go at 28 and instead Mitch would have picked him at 29.

I've agreed/supported with his decisions good or bad since he's been our GM. Sure not all his decisions have turned out well, but at least I agreed supported them at the time. So if you guys want to get into Mitchells head just hit me up ;). Once Ellinton was selected Mitch traded the pick to NY.

Congratulations ? I guess this pretty cool as long as you don't stalk mitch , follow him around see who he drafts then convince yourself that you called what he was going to do.

I guess what I said makes sense * Shrug*

I'm not trying to be bragadocious, really, I was just elated when I heard him say Ellington at 29, I'm like damn man that's pretty damn cool. I've always wished I could have Mitch's fax on draft day, Mitch pick... ;).

Didn't the Lakers agree to sell that pick to NY before the draft anyway?

To me I thought it was pretty damn' cool, sorry you don't feel the same, now you can get back to deicing your windshield, building another snowman, and doing your 3rd snowangel of the day. It was about 85 degrees in So Cal today.

I heard the pick was sold to NY, with details albeit a bit off - 1.5 mil and a 2nd - as I was driving to work 9 hours prior to the draft.

Maybe Mitch heard the night before that Minny was going to draft PGs with 5,6, and 18 but would take Ellington no matter what with 28... so he dealt it knowing undoubtedly that Ellington wouldn't be there

Lakers had no cap room and we were deep into tax territory..
Mitch would have sold the pick as long as there would be buyer regardless of who would be on the board..

The only question was would there be buyers.. Plan B was whom to draft if there are no takers..

If u didn't predict Plan A then u were off the wavelength dude..

All I'm saying is that was the player he was targeting, don't we all think we could be a GM on some level up in this? Y'all can eat my shorts. ;).
