Sad to see Trevor go, but at the same time we got a player that I always dreamed of playing for us.

Today Yahoo sports had an article about the biggest winners and losers of this free agency and guess who ranked number one on that list??

1. • David Lee, Trevor Ariza’s agent

His tough talk and chest thumping bought his client, Trevor Ariza, a one-way ticket to post-Yao lottery land in Houston – for essentially the same contract the Lakers were willing to pay him. Way to earn your 4 percent, David.

3. Lamar Odom

His agent has been desperately trying to find a sign-and-trade around the league, but there’s little there but the Lakers’ offer of $7 million per season. Odom had a terrific playoffs and Finals on L.A’s championship run, but he has few options to make the Lakers raise their offer. Why has Portland so far sat it out with him? It still makes no sense.

I guess lamar will be next :o

That is really sad to watch. I know we upgraded with Artest and it's all about rings but it was great to see Trevor grow with LA. Maybe if his agent wasnt' such a d-bag we could've had Artest and Ariza. It's really sad that we cant' keep this squad together from last year. I don't get it when teams make major personnel changes coming off a title.

Good luck Trevor! You'll be back in purple and gold one day stamp it!

I was dissing Trevor after the trade mainly because he was a good addition to the team and I didnt want to see him go. But...dont get it twisted I love Artest. But yeah, Trevor was a nice piece. Im glad he let his home (LA Lakers) help pave the way financially for him and his family.

Only bad thing you can say about Trevor is that he gave too much control to his POS agent. I still can't believe after all that crap the guy pulled Trevor ended up having to sign in Houston and taking LESS money than what the Lakers reportedly were willing to offer him (full 5-year MLE with max annual raises). Hopefully he fires that scumbag and the Lakers find a way to bring him back to LA. The boy belongs in purple and gold, plain and simple.

Conversaition.

Kobe- Trevor, your agent really blew it

Trevor- Yea, before I knew it, he had pissed of the Lakers, and I was left with Houston.

Kobe-Laughs hysterically

Trevor- Well at least I got paid, as was my goal, I got a ring to, so I'm all good.

Kobe-laughs hysterically, you'll changed your mind once you start losing regularly. Laughs hysterically again. :)

I am pretty sure the article ranked Portlands GM 1, david Lee 2 and Odom 4

Only on realgm is 27,000 points, 5 rings, 1 rs mvp and 2 finals mvp considered overrated!

I'm glad Artest was obtained, but ouch. I liked Ariza. I just hope he fires that (Please Use More Appropriate Word) of an agent. The signing of Artest wouldn't have ever been an opportunity if he hadn't had that dumb ass representing him.

I hope he plays well in Houston. He was a tough key player to see go.

I have no sympathy. He saw the way David Lee negotiated when Bynum was looking for an extension. He saw the way Lee negotiated in the hours after 12:01. He saw all this, yet still never did anything.

He only has himself and his agent to blame. Enjoy 5.7 million a season in Houston, Trev.
