With the re-signing of Shannon Brown, is Jordan Farmar expendible? Could the LAkers ever land Aldridge from Portland?

Will Jordan be used as trade value? Perhaps be used as an inexpensive solid trade piece in a volite market?

Anything's possible but you don't want to just get scraps for him. You still want the move to make sense.

You're right, AnkleBreaker. How about (a JW trade like) a big PG like Andre Miller, and sign a player like Matt Barnes as a defensive dude in the back court?

I conceed on with the Aldridge response, just a bait to get you guys saying something. However, Crittenton is a good fit for the LAkers; young, athletic, and used to run the Tri-Offense at GT, right? How about J. Crittenton, considering D.Fishes' health?

AND add another Bruin, Matt Barnes. Could HE, somewhat, replace T. Ariza's hustle???

PG-Fisher-Brown (mid year it might switch)
SG-Bryant-Daniels-Sasha

Jordan is not going anywhere, expect him to play 30 mins and average 12 PPG 3 REBS 5 ASST and pressure full court alot. It has been said, now farmar don't make me look bad

Dude Farmar is not worth a bag of peanuts, he can never be a starting PG in this league.

Anyone not named Kobe is expendable imo. Jordan Farmar is an ok player but as Tommy Trojan said, but not as harsh, is not exactly starting calibre. Prototypical 6th man combo guard a la Delonte West.

Farmar will be fine playing alongside Kobe, Gasol, Artest, and Bynum. Heck I'd be fine playing next to those guys if all I had to do was hit open shots -- which I believe Farmar will. I don't have any problem giving Farmar one more year to prove himself. I had massively high (and probably unfair) hopes for him last season, got totally down on him when he went into the tank (again), and regained some respect for the way he handled Brown's ascent.

He wasn't a difference maker in the playoffs, but I thought he had some nice moments helping us maintain comfortable leads against Orlando.

In my opinion his biggest shortcoming is maturity, and the only thing that cures that is time and experience. As such, I'd give him at least another year to prove himself. Because as well as Brown played for us -- which still completely and pleasantly stuns me -- he is far from proven. Unless a no-brain trade offer comes down the pipe, we can afford to keep both next year.

Never said we can get a starting PG by trading Farmar. No one in their right mind will give us a starting PG for Farmar. Not even Mitch can pull this one.

But what I will say is I will take an old Fisher anyday over Farmar. I don't like his attitude and cockiness as Brock Lesnar said last night " He thinks he has an golden horseshoe up his a@@!"

Someone said earlier that J.Crit played in the Triangle, 3 months. J. Crit played the Tri in High School, and although, it's nowhere near the Pro level, having the experience in any level helps.

I still like the thought of signing M. Barnes, and maybe trading Jordan, if at all possible Sasha going somewhere too. How about getting M. MIller of Washington?! He spots up and shoots lights out!!

Which I doubt either of those happen and have you heard the phase finders keepers well that applies to the Wiz keeping Mike Miller so tough break.

Larry14r, I hope are you not saying M. Miller is SO valuable that the Wizards wouldn't trade him? Hedu Turkaglu was vital to the Magic, and they shopped him.

I've heard many times. Anybody outside of: KB24, LBJ, D.Howard, T. Duncan, S. Nash, D. Wade are expendible, is M. Miller one of those too, in your opinion?

Of course he is.

I'd want Critt back for him. I just don't like Jordan's tude. It's good for last second shots, but he has some unwarranted Van Exel in him too. Maybe he'll make another leap forward this year, but he's an expiring so we best move him this year if he's not going to be very good because you know he will bounce if he doesn't get to start.

Ideally we'd wait a bit raise his value and then unload him or decide he's a keeper.
