How's this work boys?
He's due 7.2, 7.5 the next two seasons from what I see.
They waived him avoiding arbitration, he's on waivers for seven days, thereafter he's an unrestricted free agent.
I'm not following, are the Pacers getting out paying this contract?

I'm guessing here but both parties seem to be at fault so avoiding arbitration may be the best for both parties, tins was a bad teamate, and lbird didn't want to release him, and regulated him to the bench, detering his value.

I wouldn't even consider him an option for the Lakers. He is a very selfish basketball player who does not have game to back up his selfishness.

Well there didn't use to be a waiting period.........you can thank the Blazers Chris Dudley and the Suns Danny Manning for that. These two clowns signed for small salaries then broke the bank the next season.
Stern was like " I got punk'd".

Tinsley would be a good fit here. I'm tire of people judging people because of their past, people do change, just because some has done something wrong doesn't mean that they will do it again. Leave the past in the past and lets looks toward the future, ut also enjoy the present.

I have serious doubts about what he can bring to this team. There are better options but for the minimum I would be willing to give him a shot.

I believe in the opposite. If you did something in the past, it's more likely for you to do it again.

So you don't believe that people can change? I wonder what world you live in? I know everything isn't always good in our world, but some things are. You have to give people a chance no matter what they did in the past. I know somethings can't be over looked, but the things that Tinsley wasn't even as bad as some of our leaders have done but still yet people still stand by them.
Last month my state Governer flew to South America to see a woman (not his wife) on the states tax dollars, now I understand not forgiveing that, but getting into fights at a club is a whole different story.

I believe people can change, but I don't believe in being the one to find out...especially when the risk/reward ratio is unfavorable.

That would be a bigger mistake than when we got J.R. Rider....
