Hakim Warrick if LO leave

Post#1 » by laduane1 » Sun Jul 26, 2009 11:50 pm

Hakim Warrick, would he be a player of interest if LO leaves. LO seems to flip flop every other week.

he will never replace Odom, but he's a great player who will fit in.

what about kleiza, he seems to always light up the lakers when he plays against them. it'd be a good thing to change teams and keep that streak going, seeing how vujajic and walton aren't as exciting as they used to be.

Hakim Warrick shouldn't be in the NBA.

The one thing we need to replace when it comes to losing Odom is interior DEFENSE. offence is fine, we have enough firepower in that regard.

We need to find a good interior rebounder/rebounder and we are fine. Will miss Odom's penetration though/

Hakim Warrick doesn't really fill the void of a player like LO. Do whatever it takes to sign LO or next season will be a bit tougher. Still should be the favorites but the retirement home Spurs are right behind you. Make it back to the Finals and a rematch with a much tougher Magic team is possible. Boston looks strong too and Cleveland...well nevermind...just Orlando and Boston.
B-League Fantasy Draft:

PG. Rajon Rondo/Mike Conley/Patty Mills
SG. Demar Derozan/Brandon Roy/Bradley Beal/Jodie Meeks
SF. Kawhi Leonard/Terrence Jones/Jae Crowder
PF. Tristan Thompson/Jared Sullinger/Tyler Hansbrough
C. JaVale McGee/DeAndre Jordan

Magic fan here... LO was the reason that yall beat us besides of Mamba... Yall have to get Odom back and I think to replace him, well you cant because he is a special player.... Odom is a dumbass for not accepting that 4 yr 40 mil deal... If he signs with Miami, he went from a superior team to an inferior team... If he does that I am questioning Odoms intelligence no offense Laker fans...

Hakim Warrick is a young talent and deserves to be in the NBA because he ACTUALLY PRODUCES UNLIKE YI JInalien sorry ass

LO will not be easy to replace this late in the free agency race, but with the money the lakers will save.. they might go that route and sign someone that will fill the void but not the talent. LO did a bad move by not communicating with the front office sooner.

Warrick is ok but i think kleiza maybe better since he'll spread the defense with his 3s.
This LO drama is wreaking havoc in my life LOL

I wouldn't say Warrick is great by any stretch of the imagination. Warrick has a below average post-up game and a putrid outside game. Also, he has poor handles, is a poor passer, and don't get me started on his outside jumper. He gets most of his off of put-backs or in transition. He's a tweener in every sense of the word and has huge problems with bigger/taller post players and athletic swing ballers. Also, unless he was willing to take a significant pay-cut, I doubt he would sign in LA. IMO, Thomas is a better option and would be cheaper as well.

Linas Kleiza is only available because he's restricted. If Denver was (and they wouldn't be for LA) interested, I could see us dangle Morrison in a sign and trade. Unfortunately, 5m would be a bit much to give Kleiza. We'd have to sacrifice a smaller contract like Shannon Brown....... no thanks.

Warrick would be great for 10 minutes if we bumped him to the 3. But by "great", we need Odom back. Realistically, we can only steal Warrick if he'll take a 1 year deal at the vet minimum, to get a ring/raise his stock for next summer.

Can't see him interested in a ring over a better financial deal he'll obviously be offered.

If we don't get Odom back, let's hope they pull a solid sign and trade. Odom for Lee plus filler, somehow in a three-way with Heat?

Shelden Williams can go to the other LA team.... LO is coming back, but I would take Warrick's game over Williams any day of the week. He just got thrown away too, might sign just to stick it to his old team sometime next season

Return to Los Angeles Lakers
