4. DUNCAN
5. KOBE
6. WADE

3. RAPS COACH
4. FLIP SAUNDERS (I wouldn't be surprised to see the Wiz get a #4 seed if Arenas is 100% healthy)

1. BLAKE GRIFFIN
2. TYREKE EVANS
3. STEPHEN CURRY
4. JOHNNY FLYNN
5. JORDAN HILL

I've got em winning 69-70 games though when I looked at the schedule I could see them winning 75 ... crazy.

So the Rockets make the playoffs despite having T-Mac and Yao injured? Without having a formidable frontcourt, and having a replacement of Ariza for Artest? Very interesting...

Dwight isn't even on there for DPOY. The one thing sitting on my head is if Phil is going to try to get the guys the most rest possible during the regular season or go for home court advantage. Last year worked out great because even though the Cavs had the best record we never wound up facing them in the finals.

I've got the Rockets as the #8 seed in the West right now but that isn't saying much ... the Suns or Clips could even squeak out the chance to get swept by the Lakers in the furst round too

Dwight not being on the DPOY list is a mistake ... he's obviously #1 and the rest of the list starts at #2
As for rest vs best record ... we better go for the best record next year ... we will need it ... I do NOT want to see a game 7 in Cleveland or Boston, no way!

69 wins. Kobe wins MVP and Finals MVP after we win the title (+ both 1st teams). Mitch finally wins EOY. Gasol makes the All NBA 2nd team, Ron All D 1st or 2nd. That's about it.

I'm loving every part of this post but I want them to hit 70 wins. Upper 60's in wins is great, but 70 and up is just historical. And I think Gasol will start at center for All-Star Game unless Bynum stays healthy and has a better season then Gasol.

I don't think 70 is possible anymore, the game has evolved and things happen that you've gotta be somewhat lucky to win 70. Health is one of the most important to getting it done.
Lakers seem to lay an egg against the worst teams and play down to their competition, so I don't know how they'll perform against the likes of Portland (in Portland), Bobcats, Grizzlies, Pacers, etc.

I predict we end our losing streak in Portland..........book it.
To shobe_81, 70 wins is possible because from looking over the schedule the Lakers have to not trip up in the back to backs. But that's a tall task considering some of them consist of plyaing home then leaving to the next city and getting in late. But like you mentioned it's all predicated on health.

Competition was a little watered down to.
I still think we can do it if lucky enugh to stay healthy.

Just look at the games that the Lakers lost last season. Most of those games we could have easily won. 70 isn't possible, it just takes a ton of focus and great chemistry.

Amare will probably be listed as a C this year, no?

Yeah Amare will be im sure.
I think the Rockets being put in 8th is as crazy as Howard not getting a dpoy vote. I say Rockets are gonna have the worst record in the league next year.

Um, NO, the Rockets will not have anywhere near the worst record in the league next year.
They will compete for the #8 seed with the Suns and Clips and the winners gets the honour of getting swept by the Lakers

Oh yeah who is gonna carry them there? Aaron Brooks is a nice little player but I don't think he is quite ready. Lets see possible lineup
Brooks
Ariza
Battier
Scola
Laundry
Sorry but no way this is a playoff team.
