The Greatest of All Time is turning "fitty" this Friday.... wow, it seems like just yesterday he was leading the break, bringing us championships and making me a Laker for life.

I remember the day I heard he announced he had HIV. One of the worse days in my life back then. It was because of him that I became such a big Laker fan. Honestly, didn't think this day would come for him. Really glad he got to see another Lakers Championship. Happy Birthday Magic.

Happy birthday Magic. I'm not a lakers fan, but he's always been one of my favorite players ever. It's been fun watching NBATV this week, lots of his classic games have been on there. I just watched the game with his baby hook couple hours ago on it there, I actually got into the game by the time 4th Q came by haha, was first time I watched the actual game and not a highlight of the play

What to say? A huge part of my childhood, more memories than I can count, a sobering lesson to the world that HIV/AIDS was not merely a "gay disease..." The man has had an incredible impact on the world in many ways.

I'm so happy Magic is still around and healthy. And your point about HIV being a fear for all is so true. Yet only one NBA player plus Rodman (hehe) has ever really come out. Reminds me of that Southpark episode. Come out of the closet....
