money? felton is not even receiving any offers from other teams, because most teams are now loaded with young PG.. felton should come cheap!! other teams are not interested because they believe with their young PG's potentials..(many does not live to it) so much with those potentials.. Felton has been around the nba for 3-4 years.. remember he was next to D-will in the draft and as far as i know he got descent stats for his 3 years stint in the nba.. Felton is big bulky PG that Phil likes in a PG!!!

We don't have any money left to sign him. Even if he takes the minimum, which he won't, he doesn't fit all that well with us anyways.

He's going to get the MLE or more next summer.

If there was a way to trade for him. Giving up a Sahsa or Morrison. I would do it. He seems to be an upgrade over Jordan.

He's restricted. There not offering him 3 million here. He probably wasnts 7 million and they probably wanna give him 5 or so. The only way it works is a trade which isn't impossible with Farmar's and Ammo's contract if we throw in Powell and a pick or if we keep Powell and are willing to take Nazi's contract.

i don't think the lakers would be interested in giving felton the type of contract that the bobcats wouldn't give felton themselves. this is ignoring that the lakers have crap assets to get him in a sign n trade in the first place.

So many Laker fans are greedy for everything ~_~... I think this offseason is done, now it's just trying to unload some contracts before trade deadline. I don't think this whole "WE NEED A PG NOW" thing is really that pressing for the Lakers and given the kind of offense they run.

I would love for him to be tried out and tested by Mitch and Phil.

Don't know anything at all about his character or smarts, but he's definitely a very talented player.

If the fit is right, the money will work itself out. I have a feeling he hogs the ball too much to be a good fit.

It would have to be a sign and trade. The Bobcats actually weight untill there man is unrestricted and then bid see Mek. Look up cap rules and you will see why Felton is not feasable right now.

There actually is 1 way to get him for real, is take on Nazi's contract. If we gave up our expiring's and something else they would sign and trade him. Lakers get a big and Felton but they would have to go from a 90 million dollar cap to 100 plus million dollar cap. Not gonna happen.

People remember that the Lakers do have up to a 6 mil trade exemption from the Mihm Radmon trades.

I like to think that if they package it with an expiring that they might make this team the best Laker team of all time
Lakers are 22-3 in OT last 6 seasons:Kobe best OT closer!

He's a true baller on offense. How's his defense, smarts and character?

Don't miss out on this, Mitch. Must be investigated.

What if the Spurs, Celtics, Cavs or Magic snag him for next to nothing? For a cheap price, he will be a great trade asset.

He's a class act and loyal. I don't think he wants to leave Charlotte.

How would he do here? He would probably break out average 15 points 7 assists and 2 steals on our team and play very unselfishly. He would be awesome. Would be top 10 pg for us no problem. He's extremely young and athletic and smart.

The Lakers won't spend 1.2 million dollars on a backup sg/sf for Kobe and Ron, what makes you think they are gonna spend the money for Felton. Fyi Felton is looking for about 7 million per (that's a steal)
They almost lost Odom over what 1-2 million per?
Sorry guys it's total fantasy.
Maybe next year when (he will be a unrestricted) and Ammo comes off, Farmar and Fisher comes things will be different. Right now it's complete fantasy.

I know it sounds way off but Felton will be a Chauncey Billups type steal for Detroit for the next team that signs him outside of Charlotte since they seem committed to DJ Augustin.

I don't get the whole, "we don't have any money" argument. Sign and trade not allowed?

Felton running the point with Kobe, Artest, Gasol, Bynum on the same team? Sounds like an extremely dangerous team to me. Even if he doesn't play a lick of defense. Does he?

Judging by how he plays offense, he must be a pretty bright guy. Looks like he's very good at thinking on his feet, at high processing speed. Guys like that can quickly grasp and operate within the triangle.

Plus, if Hodges can do to Felton's shooting what he did to Ariza's and Farmar's, Felton's shooting percentage shouldn't be such a big worry. Remember, he hasn't had the luxury of only taking quality shot attempts. He's kind of been forced to force up shots over there, hasn't he?
