Hey Guys,
Long time reader, first time poster. I have been reading these boards almost daily for a long time now so although you may not know me I already feel as if I know each of you. Not sure why I have taken so long to join, but I guess as they say better late than never. I am guessing there a lot of new arrivals lately due to the recent success of the Lakers so thought I would clear it up and establish I have been a fan for a long while. I like you have endured the Kwame and Cook show.. I think the saddest thing is that through it all I remained genuinely optimistic about our chances, I thought Kwame would develop into an elite big, Cook would be able to shoot the 3 ball consistently, Smush would be able to distribute, Lamar's fragile physce would be able to handle the pressure of being number 1 on some nights and well Walton, Vujacic and Mimh could simply do anything! But yes they broke my heart again and again, the lowest point being the where I lost $150 in a bet with a close mate in the series with the suns in 2005/2006. I guess seeing $150 slip away after having a seemingly secure series and your team not seeming to care was the worst part. Anyway I guess I became a fan in the late 1990's due to the old black mamba and although the early championships were amazing, nothing compares to watching the team learn and grow and after the lesson that was Boston win it all in 2009. I could write on forever but just thought I would introduce myself and say that I think you will be hearing a lot more from me in the coming season!
