Question about Jordan and Kobe

Hey guys , Heat fan here. I was looking the other day to some MJ stats and I saw that he has the record for most consecutive games scoring in double figures at 866. I would like to know how many games Kobe scored in double figures in a row, since only him and Lebron (but still to young) can catch MJ in this record ? Thanks.

Don't know, don't care, seems the endless Jordan vs Kobe crap will never end.

Just so you know, posting in a thread is not mandatory if you do not care about the topic. This is a genuine topic and deserves discussion on the Lakers board.

I'm not sure, but it is a good question. But I think towards the beginning of last season, Kobe scored something like... 9 points and they still won that game Bynum and Pau Dominated, so let's just Kobe's starting all over man

the longest streak for double digit scoring (only regular season included) for kobe would be 211 games between apr 1 2001 to march 3 2004

Lebron will break the record.
Kobe has to many teammates now to break that one. He could but with blowouts and a frontcourt that is unheard of why would he?

i'm not sure he will.....you have to be absolutely healthy and hope that the injuries don't hit you
because in both cases ,kobe and lebron ,you rarely see them scoring in single digits if not for some kind of an injury that forces them to play few minutes....kobe for example, since he became a starter for the lakers,90% of the cases in which he scored in single digits ,was due to injury or some other issue that forced him to play very few minutes....as for lebron ,he has a streak of 201 consecutive games, but he's years away from MJ's record....one injury in the first minutes of a game and that streak is snapped

All that really matters is wins. Who ever scores, the bottom line is the more wins the better.

Thanks. As somebody said, Lebron will have to be lucky to not get ejected or injured early in the game. I think Jordan (with the Bulls) score 8 points in only 1 game, and was the game that he injury his foot in the 1st quarter and them missed about 60 games in the 2nd season. Anyway, is not about Jordan x Kobe, just a record that i thought that Kobe could break. Good luck on the back to back, only a freakin injury can separate LA from the chip.

Well thanks for the vote of confidence, I actually think an injury would be the only thing that stands in the way of a re....threepeat lol but to be honest I am anxious to see what Jermain O'neal would do for you guys this year, he has always been on e of my favorite players, so good luck with that, but over all, very classy thread man

They've both had single digit games not so long ago if I remember right.

He also missed it in 06-07 in another W against Denver.

1/5 Den W 123-104
28 2-9 .222 1-4 .250 3-4 .750 0 0 3 3 1 4 5 10 8

...and so "the Lakers are better when Kobe scores less than 20 points" band wagon began. :P

i think carmelo anthony will break the streak...doesnt he have the most consecutive 20+ point games already? im pretty sure he can beat the double digits record

he had a 2 point game last season...so he doesn't jeopardize the record yet
