By the way fellas, Im going on record saying that Ron Artest will make a serious run at DPOY this year. ya, ya, I know he has lost a step and his lateral quickness isnt what it use to be. But if he locks down key players in key games he will have a chance. This is the best team he's been on and Phil Jackson is going to get this guy to play some serious D.

I'm rolling with you bruh. Being on this board has shown me how fun it is to talk B Ball with people all over. I was either blinded or just didn't fully understand how many Laker haters there are. So I am backing my squad & subsequent players! So Ron Ron DPOY, bring it on!!!

I really think Ron can do it this year. He's going to have one of the best seasons of his career in LA.

His defense will look much better because the Lakers defense is geared more towards closing the paint and forcing teams to launch jumpers. Yeah we give up the 3 a lot, but penetration won't kill us. Not with guys like Ron and Drew to knock the snot out of people.

Another point that I have is the lakers usually max out on how many national games a team can play a year. If Ron-Ron has big defensive games on national tv, it will go along way.

Oh hell yeah. The Lakers get so much national attention because of their history and because they have one of the best players in the game today. It will definitly help out Ron Ron in the running for DPOY. Also just think about all the critisim that the Lakers took last year about not blowing teams out like the Cavs do and such things. If the Lakers can do that this season well the only thing that has changed on this team would be Ron Artest and the media will look at that.
