Celtics with a blank banner???

But during Boston’s media day recently, everyone in attendance noticed a blank 18th banner hanging next to their ‘08 Championship banner. Apparently this Celtic’s squad is a very confident bunch that hope to be adding some letters and numbers to that banner reading “2010 NBA Champions.” When head coach Doc Rivers was asked about the blank banner, he replied,”It was Red Auerbach’s idea“, referring to the now deceased Boston coaching legend.
The Lakers 09-10? Make the the NBA finals and if they do face the Celtics make sure that sonovab!tch banner stays blank!!!!

I hope the Cs dont hit one of those dry spills of going for another 20 plus years without a title, cause if they do they're going to look like a bunch of morrons for this.
My bad on my initial post, I thought that banner was placed out in the arena, if its in the locker room then I dont see anything wrong with having something like that to inspire the team to have a goal, but then again all of our players have a ring to inspire them except R-TEST.

That's why I want them to go on another dry spell, so they do like like morons for the next 20 years.

you ever meditated, chanted, did a war-dance, jumped up and down, and basically done everything in your power to muster up every inch and ounce of confidence, strength and fortitude to smash something to pieces, ..... only to end up crying like a bitch at the hospital when your body hurts like hell and the damn thing is still standing strong????
Well... let this foos do whatever they have to do to motivate themselves. That friggin banner is staying blank until #24 retires!

I hope they make it to the Finals to play us. Just like one of the TrailBlazer players said the Celtics don't like it when they're are getting pushed back. I say lets pust their asses of a F***ing clif while were at it.

I still think CLE is the team to beat in the East, Stat Boy plus Shaq, plus a bunch of new solid vet plug ins gonna be too much for the rest home C's, but of course a C's v. LAL final would be grand.

It comes off more as a sign of desperation than motivation. They have as much a hard route to the finals as we do so this time if we were to meet again, we should have the depth advantage anyways. I'm more than confident of our chances against anyone else at this point.
