If you really think about it, the Mavs have more potential to upset the Lakers than pretty much asnyone else out west.

Mavs are soft, I fear SA, Denver and even GSW more.

Josh Howard better than Lamar Odom Kardashian (rumor has it he's taking his wife's last name)

Dirk Diggler better than Pau Gasoi

Marion equal to Artest

Jason Kidd better than Derek Fisher

Then you have a bench of Tim Thomas, Drew Gooden, etc. giving the Lakeshow a tough battle on paper.

The allas Mavs c'mon bro. allas is a waste of time, they should just fold up their tent and go home.

The OP just found this. It was created by a 21 year old New Zealander with a youtube account and some video skills.

allas only intrigues me from a GM perspective because their f'd with all those extended crappy contracts.

If they can get an open look for Terry at the end of a game, as great as irk is I'd let Terry take it if he's open, he's gotta be top 10 best shooters in the NBA, just nails.

You wastin your time here, we've owned Dallas for a few years EVEN before we got Pau. I don't need you coming here trying to brag and boast on how we may be beaten. All you're trying to do is spark somebody to argue with you...............FAIL.

PLEASEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!

By the way, lets not worry about Lamar and his last name, you should be more concerned about Dirk spending all his time and energy visiting Lew Sterrett Justice Center trying to take care of his baby mama Cristal Taylor than focusing on a championship. Now run along before I west coast slap you with my fifteen rings.

Btw what would you guys do if you were Cuban at this point? They have a few assets...To early to start over, because they are in salary cap hell. Dirk would be the only one that would bring any gold back I would think. Howard spends half of every season in the nurses office his value can't be much with his injury risk, ahh but he is expiring. Marion's salary I can't find but I'm sure it's obnoxious as well. Dallas is screwed at least for another year, tied up in huge salaries. Howard would come off the books. I think i would trade Kidd, Terry away for one year guys to get them off the books, they have some value, so give them Dampier as a consolation prize, lol.

Dirk 20M
Terry 10,10,11
Kidd 8, 8, 8
Marion ?
Barea 1.6M
Howard, Josh 11M (this will be his last year, team option)
Dampier 10M, 13M, lol.

wow, some of "us" laker fans are being kinda rude...relax a bit, damn..
i agree though, the mavs are the darkhorse in the west...they have potential to upset ANY TEAM in the nba..
when you have dirk, marion, kidd, howard, terry, followed by skillful assets like dampier and barea, you cant be so low on such a team..
the mavs are a legit threat.
lets be a bit nicer around here instead of going for eachothers' throats all the time

iki iki iki............ brah, we love to play nice, seriously brah but when the O.P posts some garbage like DUB said on youtube that is basically a joke, since the Cs will lost to the Wiazards and us losing to the Mavs and at the end it will be in the Cavs and the Nuggets in the finals and the Cavs are going to win the title, AND to top it off he comes back with this post

Alymero wrote:Josh Howard better than Lamar Odom Kardashian (rumor has it he's taking his wife's last name) This is an insult in every way possible, first he claims that Pot head who has been injured most of his career or suspended is better than Lamar and then he's talking ish on Lamar and his wife.

Dirk Diggler better than Pau Gasoi Okay

Marion equal to Artest Marion is equal to Artest, since when Marion was even a considered to be a decent player??? Lets hope he doesnt get hurt.

Jason Kidd better than Derek Fisher Okay

Then you have a bench of Tim Thomas, Drew Gooden, etc. giving the Lakeshow a tough battle on paper. SO where's Kobe, where's Bynum. where's Shannon Ohhhhh and the coaching staff.

So you see iki unlike you brah, this thread and the O.P to me and others is a joke and this thread is nothing but a joke, specially when the next thread he started was us trading half of our team to get Lebron and Shaq............ you know what brah, your right we are overreacting.

62-61.

I don't see the upset. Maybe the Portland Trailblazers have a good case. Mavs? I don't think so.

I don't know about the Mavs upsetting the Lakers, but in my opinion, I think they are better than the Spurs, who they have ran circles around and made look old in the last few years. And I think they are better than the Nuggets, who last year got pretty lucky off the non-call on the Carmelo shot. I think since Mavs got deeper and Nuggets haven't gotten any new key additions, Mavs will be better. As for Spurs, they have added alot of new pieces too, but their team is getting old and I don't think their existing pieces can keep up athletically with the Mavs.

What really?

I think the Spurs are Quality, but to me the Mavs have redundant pieces not quality compliments. Kidd is 100yrs old, Marion can't create his own shot and failed outside of Nash's setup game, Damp is 1 dimmensional, Howard is more likely to get suspended than dominate a game, and Dirk is still the only threat to anyone.

I think the OP needs to get in touch with his inner mediocre-ness

We proved that were better than them before we had Gasol, Gasol made it easer for us when playing them. On top od that we have Bynum back and Artest is much better than Ariza.

Fisher/Bryant/Artest/Gasol/Bynum

vs.

Kidd/Howard/Marion/Nowitzki/Dampier

Lakers hands down every time, Howard or Marion can't guard Kobe at all. Howard was the one guarding Bryant when he went off for 62 points against them.

Lakers Bench vs. Mavs Bench

Lakers hands down, everyone seems to for get that Gasol or Bynum team up with Odom to run the second unit

You guys think I was making that up. The kid who created that youtube video is 21, and he lives in New Zealand. We've given this way too much attention, lol.
