Kaman is serviceable, and Camby another year. They do have Baron Davis, I think the Clips will surprise you this year. Blade Griffin is the real deal. Kid's got some skills

Surprise us??? Okay so you started with who we are concerned about in the W/C then it went to what we think about the Clippers and now we are discussing the Clippers. I think it is a bit off topic and the wrong board. You do realize this is the Lakers board right?
Also you can visit our game thread and input your opinion about this team since they are the team we are facing tommorrow. Feel free to do that. Im sure you'll get a lot more response there than you will on here.

For the Clips? Health will be the number 1 factor. That's no small task with Chris Caveman, Baron Davis, Cotton Camby, and an aging Ricky Davis. Talent wise, they can certainly make it to the playoffs, but my guess is they are once again injured and maligned.
The other big factor for the Clips? The coach is a total a-hole. He's like George Karl light (now with extra bitter)

The Clippers have a flawed System from Management on down...
Saying they won't make the play-offs isn't saying anything about the players themselves... They've always had some decent players... And high lottery picks to support them...
It's just that they aren't an organization that thinks they can win... And maybe one that doesn't even want to...
I like the Clippers... I just completely count them out until proven differently...

Oh and Blake Griffin with more injury woes to start the season? That would be the Clips luck, and injury prone could be star.

Whats funny is last night when the commercial came on for tonights game on TNT, I told my girl this is going to be a good game and she said "Who are the Clippers" so I told her "No not the Laker game, the Cavs and the Celtics" my girl who is from the east coast asked me "By they way who are the Clippers" "I laughed I said they are the other team from LA" She said "LAs got two teams I didnt know that" I said ya but they're really not that good and nobody ever takes them seriously"

the ONLY TEAM TO WORRY ABOUT in the western conference is the SAN ANTONIO SPURS.
theyve got a player on there who has been one of the if not THEE top player in our conference since the shaq/kobe days. tim duncan.
say what you want about this guy, but he has been consistent and he is still a force. although some down years, he has led them to a few titles during this decade. and i see them making a serious . . . maybe some see it as their FINAL PUSH . . . but a serious push nevertheless to get that last title of an aging team.
the spurs have been classy in defeat. and boring in their victories. but hey, they still got the job down in past years.
with richard jefferson, that should definitely add to their squad in this upcoming year.

oh, and by the way.
top honors for top players of their era as measured by titles.
80s, magic - bird
90s, michael/scottie-hakeem
this current era?
the top honor awards for the #1 player of this era boils down to 3 so far . . .
kobe - 4 titles
shaq - 4 titles
duncan - 4 titles
the next one wins!
